The ABC Homeopathy Forum

mr t

Up to October 2010 I was fit and healthy and could eat & drink anything I wanted.
Then for no apparent reason I had terrible stomach wind that led to excess acid and a bleeding stomach. I was treated in hospital with omeprazole and took 2 x 20mg a day. The symptoms went away for a month but some have returned with others on a regular basis ie extreme amounts of wind, stomach gurgling, bad egg/sulphury burps or sometimes worse ie trapped wind, heartburn,a chill, stomach pain, nausea, swallowing getting troublesome, feeling that something is just lying in the stomach. Everything I eat gives me more indigestion.I'm still taking 1 x 20mg of Omeprazole and have had an endoscopy that found no problems. The latest attack has lasted 4 days and still thereCan you suggest anything please?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It is very likely that you are suffering from GERD (Gastro Esophagal Reflux disease) and I shall copy the therapy I have prescribed to hundreds of patients who presented GERD, the large majority of whom have been cured.

Your remedies are as follows:

Nat Phos 6x dose 3-4 tablets taken immediately after each of 2 meals
Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.

You can expect relief from your ailment hopefully within 24 hours.
Do not eat large meals. Eat small meals but more often if you feel hungry.
It is important that you do not go to bed for at least 2 hours after dinner as food will take about this time to digest and it is best to stay awake and upright to enable your food to digest before going to bed.

No fatty food, alcohol, coffee, preserved meats like sausages, ham, bacon as they contain Saltpeter which will antidote the remedies listed immediately.

If you suffer from a stomach ache or you feel your stomach puffing up before a meal during the day between meals this is usually due to hunger pains, caused by your gastric juices attacking the inner wall of your stomach. The simple remedy is to eat some food like a biscuit or a banana to keep the gastric juice away from digesting the stomach wall when you will experience a stomach ache which in some cases can be very acute.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle twice daily.

Please visit the links below which record the cases of other patients whom I have treated for GERD.

STOP using all other drugs and report progress in a week.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Joe.
I'll order the medication and give it a try.
I'm also taking 5mg Warfarin & 2.5mg Bisoprolol Fumerate a day by the way.

Warfarin causes internal bleeding. Why are you on that drug?

I presume that you are aware that Warfarin is used even today in Rat Poison and David has rightly warned you of the danger you can face from internal bleeding.

You may like to know that Arnica will help to thin the blood more effectively than Warfarin or Asprin. This can be verified in about 2 weeks after starting on this remedy which you will have to take thrice daily in the Wet dose.

Bisoprolol Fumarate is a drug used for Hypertension and I presume that it was prescribed for your Blood Pressure. What is your BP?

You are advised to record your complete case history as diagnosed by your consultants with all the drugs that you were prescribed and are taking today to enable me to know what your other ailments are.

You stated: 'I had terrible stomach wind that led to excess acid and a bleeding stomach'
Please furnish details of your 'bleeding stomach'.

Hi Joe,
Just after my first stomach 'attack' my heart went out of rhythm (AF)and I have been given the Bisoprolol & Warfarin for that.
They said the prolonged excess acid in my stomach caused the stomach to bleed.
I have had a scan today & after 17 hours without food my stomach was still quite full. So I have to have a Barium meal test.

It will amost certainly be a side effect of the Warfarin. It will be difficult to control or heal you while you are taking it. Is it absolutely necessary? Warfarin is given to prevent clotting in patients that have had valve replacements or other kinds of heart or circulatory pathology where clots can be dangerous. Is this your situation?

Hi,
The doctors say that when your heart goes out of rhythm (Atrial Fibrillation) there's a chance of clots which is why they gave me the Warfarin. T.

Unfortunately, the price of modern medicine is side effects, some of which will be worse than the risk of not taking the medicine. I have seen many patients in this same situation - it is a tricky one. If you stop the drug, you risk the incident they warn you of, if you don't stop it, you will continue to bleed and suffer other side effects. A hard place for anyone to be in.

My understanding is that the risk of clotting is only for a short time after the event happens. How long have you been on the warfarin? Do you have an ongoing problem with the heart or was it just once?

If you are taking blood thinner long enough, never stop. Your body already got used to it. Please do not stop for rest of your life. I have witnessed people taking the advice of stopping and risking thier life unfortunately (out of ignorance).

I agree with Reva. I certainly wouldn't suggest stopping medication on the advice from a forum like this. However, the side effects will continue and most likely worsen over time. Many of my patients on Warfarin suffer liver inflammation and swelling over time as well as dangerous and prolonged bleeding from injuries. At this stage I have never seen any fatal side effects although they are listed as possible consequences. Stomach bleeding is absolutely considered a known side effect from this drug however.

For any patient that I see in clinic that wishes to stop medication, it is always necessary to make sure the patient is being cured of the reason they started the medication. The patient also needs to be monitored regularly by myself and the pathology checked frequently by orthodox medical testing.

Even then, some people may have reached a point where their reliance on the medication has created incurability. However for others they have sucessfully reduced and then stopped it.

In a case like this, you really should put yourself under the personal care of a local homoeopath if possible. I doubt anyone here could offer that kind of support.

What might be done is some control of the side-effects - perhaps the best way to use advice here is to try to increase your health to compensate for the damage the drugs are doing.
