This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Not really.

Stop thinking about this and let your homoeopath do her work, or change to another one if you don't trust her.

I agree with David.

You are in a way 'blocking' the remedy by these 'random' thoughts. Remedies tend to act much better in those who don't try to second guess what is happening and trust in their healer.

If you will try to over-observe yourself and indulge in this obsessive doubting about the remedy, cure will be much harder to get.

Dear Sameer,
You are almost making it sound like you have to believe in the remedy for it to cure. I know you dont mean thisÂ…perhaps you can elaborate.

I am just saying that remedies cure through response of the vital force, and that happens best when you are not expending all your vitality in obsessively observing yourself.

This is not to say that remedies will not cure in such cases. But, if the person tries to keep himself a little busy with other constructive activities (like light exercises and amusement) without thinking about his condition obsessively, the response will happen in a cleaner and faster manner.

Your homoeopath needs to fit that behaviour into the choice of medicine. Does she know about it?

Facial analysis can be an icing on the cake, but it cannot really be the guiding light for picking a remedy.

Anyways, most of us are a mish-mash of so many layers by the time we grow up and that makes it very unlikely for a person to correspond to one remedy's 'appearance'.

This obsessive behavior (reading about remedies) has to be taken into account by your homeopath, but you also have to make a concerted effort to keep yourself busy with healthy and constructive activities. I know it is tough, but ideally, you should leave as little time as possible for these thoughts about remedy choices to consume you.

Paul Bentley's work on facial analysis is very interesting, and he supplies quite a lot of cases and pictures to support his arguments. His theory (supported by the use of facial features developed over a life time) is that there is one dominant miasm at all times. However he also shows with these pictures the traces of other miasms. His method involves determining how to tell what the dominant miasm is by adding up the number of features related to each miasm. It is not so different to adding up the pathologies and characteristics really (and he does this as well, just adding facial analysis as an extra tool).

His book is very good reading - I have not yet incorporoated it into my practice.
