This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It depends on how soon after, and whether your state changes to warrant the change of medicine.

The only remedy that will help is the one that is similar to your current state. Taking a dissimilar remedy while you are still suffering symptoms will usually do nothing at all.

A remedy only 'works' via the law of similars or the law of opposites. So if it suits the symptoms it will do something - the previous remedy can no longer operate then. A remedy only directly affects the Vital Force, which then transmits directions to the rest of the body (or mind), so when a new similar remedy takes hold, since there is only one Vital Force, there will only be one set of directions (which becomes symptoms or aggravations and so on).

I don't think that is quite the right way to see it - the remedies don't make your vital force do anything. The vital force, when disturbed (sick) adopts a particular strategy for dealing with it - this results in your symptoms. This also provides a blueprint for choosing the remedy. If the remedy does not match it, the remedy probably won't do anything at all.

Cure is pretty easy for patient's to recognize when it happens - symptoms vanish, suffering disappears, problems stop occupying your mind, energy goes up to a level that allows you to do most daily things with minimum effort, sleep becomes easy and provides a refreshed feeling in the morning, appetite and thirst normalizes without any specific cravings or strong aversions, mood becomes more stable.

When I have seen a patient receive a really good curative remedy, the change is marked and easily observed by the patient. They rarely express any doubt that they are better. I notice that the first thing that is different (apart from their appearance which can often be much healthier) is that they do not sit down and start complaining. They may sit quietly in fact, instead of launching into a list of problems, and need to be directly asked how they feel. Many times they have forgotten many of the things they came to me for - I notice that memory of disease fades very easily when real cure is setting in. They often gesture much less often.

When a patient says they feel 'a bit better' I am usually not very optimistic about the remedy being curative. Cure is much more profound in homoeopathy.

Every remedy has indications for cystitis. Cystitis is just a disease name, it has nothing to do with specific remedies. Any remedy can produce Cystitis with its own peculiar characteristics (just as they can produce a disease in any part of the body).

A remedy is indicated when the peculiar, rare, strange, uncommon characteristics are present. If the cystitis has them, the remedy will cure, whether or not it has ever been given by a homoeopath in the past for the complaint.

Those kinds of symptoms in the repertory with just a disease name, are mostly clinical symptoms not provings. This means that the entry exists because someone cured it using that remedy. Remedies that have not been tried yet (or recorded as curing) will not show.

So any remedy can cure any named disease, as long as the peculiars agree.

yes any medicine can cure any disease, if the symptoms suit, and especially the peculiar symptoms.

I don't find a remedy to suit the person, but to suit the disease the person has - disease in the homoeopathic sense that is not the allopathic one.

This is not to suggest that one remedy cures all chronic problems for a particular patient. Although this can happen, sometimes it does not and several remedies may be needed as different states appear, usually old states that may have been submerged as the person came in contact with different situations or traumas.

As I said earlier, 'indication' in homoeopathy only depends on peculiars - it does not depend on disease names.

The simillimum can correct some problems with body shape, if it is part of their disease. Some body shapes and features are genetic and will not change in adults. In children and teenagers you can see *dramatic* changes in appearance.

Women typically can see breast shape, fat distribution, hair growth, skin texture and colour may change to some degree. This is because these things naturally shift and homoeopathy can only stimulate natural processes.

Other things that determine body shape like bone structure (narrow hips for example or height) will not change with homoeopathy in adults, although again with children and teenagers this can easily happen.

In regards to those patients who are overweight, homoeopathy alone will not fix such a problem, exercise and diet will need to be a major part of the solution.

Possibly, although body shape itself will only change with a fair amount of effort (using the body through sport or exercise or physical work). It really depends on the specific problem as to what changes you would expect.

Once your disease is removed, I can't see a problem with putting weight on, if you are underweight. Again it is hard to say exactly - there are many body shapes and medicines only remove disease. What happens after that is determined by your own genetics and lifestyle.

That doesn't mean anything specific.

I do not think a healthy person feels like crying for no reason though. It might be a symptom to be used, or it might not.
