For the eyes

Hello,

Am a working woman in mid 40's, having to work for 5-6 hours in a day on the comp / laptop. for the last couple of years my reading # has been increasing every year. In order to keep the # steady, was advised on this forum the following :

arg nit 6x 4 drops every morning for 2 weeks, a break of 1 week, then 2 weeks.

I have followed this pattern twice, can someone plz help me how long should i continue this dosage.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Dear 360Degrees(Archana),

When you see a measurable improvement, reduse the frequency of doses or stop taking the remedy. You can repeat as the need be. Avoid taking remedy every day for long period of time. If during the process of treatment there are signs of aggravation, you can stop the remedy. You can retake the remedy, when the aggravation subsides (if condition has improved and no further improvement is seen).

Need clarification :

1. measurable improvement - i might have to wait to see when does my reading # increase next time - is that correct, if it remains steady for more than a year then the remedy is working, coz my husbands # increases once in two years inspite of similar work exposure & environment.

2. Repeat as need be - this is confusing. Dr Reva on this forum had suggested the same thing. however, i still dont understand how do i distinguish between the need process of treatment. how many cycles do i need to follow to be able to say that the treatment may be working, coz in my case i dont have aggravations per say. i just want to keep the reading # steady.

The idea in Homeopathy is to cure with the minimum amount of medicine and with minimum amount of intervention. It is not possible to take an overdose of homeopathic remedies. Remedies are very much capable of stimulating the body’s reactive forces powerfully and should be treated with respect. Maintaining good diet, regular exercise and avoiding eyes form direct sunlight, will play an important role in maintaining good health of your eyes in long run.
What eye symptoms surfaced when this remedy was prescribed to you? Or was it just to stabilize your vision power in long run.

To make it simpler:-
1) If you have redness in the eyes or
2) If your eyes are itching or
3) If your eyes are burning or
4) If your eyes are watering or
5) If your eyes lids are heavy or
6) If your eyes are dry or
So many more symptoms which can be effectively cured by the Homeopathic remedy. But if person is facing no such symptoms, then we say ok please take RUTA 200 on weekly/biweekly bases, just one dose. This is like a tonic to the stressed eyes. We say it as an investment for the strong eyesight. But if you feel there is a real problem on daily bases then as per the symptoms treatment is taken. Finally, for precaution weekly or monthly dose is 'OK'.

Dear Nikkie,

This started with a query for strained eyes due to excessive computer work,

I was prescribed phos 200 two drops once in 15 days

After a month a was put of arg nit 6x as mentioned above, indicating if i every had severe strain again i should stop Arg Nit, take a dose of phos wait for 2 days & continue with Arg Nit

Currently i have no eye strain, i take ample precaution while using the laptop. however, due to regular use of the laptop i need to keep my eye sight strong & delay the progression on my reading as well as distance # in future

Basis above, should i now start RUTA 200 on a weekly / biweekly basis & stop the Arg Nit. Please advise

Dear 360degrees,

Just taking Ruta wont help you. Do the following :
1) Take ample of green leaf vegetables, Carrot (atleast one every morning), sprouts etc.
2) Wash your eyes with cold water.
3)Avoid looking at computer screen for longer duration.
4)Eyes exercise: (Look to extreme left without moving your head, look to extreme right without moving your head, do this for 10 times each side) ( try to focus both your eyes on the tip of your nose and then to the point between your eyebrows, do this 10 times), warm your palms by rubbing each other and place on both eyes gently.
5) While washing face (very effective) fill and hold your mouth with water, flash some water on your eyes as much as you can now release all the water from your mouth. do it 3-4 times.
6) Submerge your eyes in cold water and blink the eyes when still in water ( this will help in eyesight).

After doing all this, still you feel stress on your eyes please take RUTA 200, 3 drops in 3 sip mineral water before going to bed.

If Eyes are glittering and feels healthy, taking Ruta 200 weekly or bi weekly is a good IDEA.

You may like to consider PHYSOSTIGMA , GELSIMIUM & EUPHRASIA in lower potencies.
Depending upon the symptoms. This is just a humble sggestion. Hope you will not think my intervention as interference. If so I am sorry.Regards.

Dr Nikkie, its my humble request to advise & guide me to a logical conclusion. I understand this forum is voluntary & hence the doctor panel is free to advise at will. However, i suppose its also purely medical ethics that once a case is taken up then a follow through is important, since any treatment left half way through does not help the patient. Please dont misread 'I DONT INTEND TO POINT A FINGER'

I had raised my issue on this forum about 4 months back, & i shall take you through the course that was recommended upto a point in time, however there was no follow through

Dandruff with hair fall - i've had dandruff since teens, hairfall started a few years later. got aggravated after childbirth, then settled down. However, since about 5-6 years onwards i've had steady hairfall. no baldness or gaps in the hair, there has been hair growth however, the overall density has reduced to almost half. went to local dermatologist about 2 years back. on her advise got the hemeoglobin count, blood sugar & thyroid checked - all reports normal. she put be on biotin for 3 weeks, followed by a month, then another month. There was some releif. She said to stop the treatment, a month later the haifall is back, no change in dandruff

Last year went to a local homeopath, who treated me for 8 months i was very happy with the results. Dandruff had compeletely dissapeared & the hairfall was barely 8-10 strands a day, we stopped the treatment on the doc's suggestion, however within 2 months, both the dandruff & hairfall came back with a vengence. waited for about 3-4 months to see if it was temp & then wrote on this forum.

The recommendation was as follows :

I live in Mumbai-Thane, India

I hate anything that is related to cold - iced drinks, AC, cold weather. Cant sit directly below the fan beyond 5 minutes.

Please take China 200, 2 drops in 10ml water, every morning and Calc Carb 30, 2 drops in 10ml water, every evening for 3 weeks and write back. If you cannot get liquid dilutions, you can buy in pellets and take 4 pellets as one dose.

Also take 2 tablets of Cod Liver Oil (not just any fish oil, but cod liver oil), both immediately after lunch and after dinner.

This will help to regain your internal strength, which is the base for further medicines.

When you write back after 3 weeks, I will give you a course for stopping hair falling and that should do good. Until then, I dont expect much change on your hairs for now.


Johnson baby shampoo is better, if convenient.

After the above course for 3 weeks, it is a long list of protocol for 3 months to do good.

You can start Biotin now, since its effectiveness will double with Calc Carb.

Biotin dose is either 5000mcg or half of this, once a day.

Do you still have dandruff followed by hair fall ?

Please answer the following question which will be useful for the further line of treatment.
1) Do you have any chronic health related problem? Are you on any medication, list if any?
2) How is your Bowl movement?
3) Any skin eruption (on face, back, shoulder, and chest)?
4) How much do you sweat? What is the odour like?
5) How much is your thirst? What it is your daily water intake?
6) Say me about your Meal (Breakfast-Lunch-Dinner)?
7) Any stomach Problem?
8) Do you like warm or cold or damp weather?
9) Where do you stay? What is your height and weight?
10) Top five reasons that make you feel SAD? (Prioritise as per the one which disturbs you more should be on the top of the list and so on).
11) How is your sleep? How do you feel when you get up in the morning (tired or fresh)?
12) What activity you do to sweat your self (exercise, physical work)?
13) Do you experience any itching in your scalp?

Yes, i still have dandruff & hairfall.

1. Currently nothing chronic, other than my dandruff & hairfall. No particular line of medication other than Ruta 200 once a week for the eyes. Couple of times in a year i've a bout of cold & running nose, around a season time. summer to monsoons & winter to summer. My local homeopath has given me a SOS dose, the moment i get my first sneeze, i take four pills, sometimes twice & it stops.
2. Bowel movements are okay, as long as my intake of water is abt fine. My thirst is almost nil. I rarely feel thirsty & this inspite of the fact that i live in Mumbai which is hot & humid most of the time. So, most of the time, i've to force or remind myself to drink water. Also my bowel moment get affected if i miss my regular time, so if i have take a early morning flight or if i travel in a train
3. No erruptions on the back or chest. However i've very oily skin, had acne in teens, there after i've had clear skin. Occasionally i have a zit or a boil, however nothing much to bother about
4. Sweat quite a bit, they also leave a yellow patch on whites below the armpits. Odour is not very strong however it does exist.
5. Thirst i've answere in pt.2. I cannot drink more than 4-5 glases per day, that my limit. Just for info, there are days when i have absolutely no water at all.
6. i have a small appetite. eat about 4 -5 small meals in a day. do not skip any meals, though time may fluctuate. I have a balanced diet of vegetables & fruits, eggs, rice, dal, roti, salad. Have fish occasional. No chicken & red meat. Have 3 cups of sugar free tea during the day
7. Nothing in particular, however i do have gas if i dont eat at regular interval or if the gap between two meals is long, especially while travelling
8. Absolutely warm weather, i just cant tolerate AC's & extreme cold weather
9. Stay in Mumbai, India. Height 5ft.4 inch. Wt : 50 kgs
10. (1)Losing a near one. Lost my father in Oct 2009 that was the most sad moment in my life, it still makes me sad. For that matter, anything negative got to do with my parents, husband & son make me sad(2) Aggressive, dominating behavior particulary by close family member or friends (3) I am emotional & sensitive, hence anything that disturbs me like watching a sad movie, or even a sad event will linger on & make me sad (4)I am a water sign & highly creative, as such cant do a montonous job for too long, boredom can kill me (5) Being creative also means freedom to do things my way, its very easy for someone to make me sad by taking away my freedom to do things.
11. Sleep is good, i can sleep as long as i want to & i can & i love my 8 hours of sleep. Its not necessary that i wake up every morning feeling fresh, i do so most of the days, however there are days that i've had a good nights sleep yet i wake up feeling i need that extra wink.
12. Dont miss my brisk morning walks of 30 mins 6 days a week. the day i miss it in the morning, do so in the evening
13. Have a itchy scalp, especially when i got out in the sun & sweat, it become unbearable.

2) If you dont take your SOS medicine, what will happen ? Name the medicine?
3) Do you sweat while eating?
4) Any rheumatic panes in joints or any part of body?
5) Do you feel thirsty when you get sweat?

1. Ruta 200 sunday nite b4 going to bed. The 3 week course of China & Cal Carb was completed from last week of July to mid august. thereafter nothing.
2. If i dont take my SOS, usually the cold takes a full cycle & stays on for a week, followed by a cough. i really dont know what the medicine is. local homeopaths dont disclose what they give & i dint bother to ask. If you want i can check
3. i havent noticed in particular, since you asked - i also have moist palms, sweat doesnt drip but they are moist most of the time
4. No pain in joints or anywhr. occasional shoulders, that too if i work long hours on the computer.
5. only if i sweat hard coz of physical activity or when i've been in the sun. when i am back from my walk i definitely need a glass of water.
6. Headaches, only when under a strong sun that too summer sun, otherwise never

One more very funny habbit, i can never eat large meals, however after a full lunch, sometimes i still hungry & a small bite of a chocolate, sweet, yogurt, candy makes me feel satisfied.

I would like to know the medicine name and potency !
If the homeopath doesnt reveal, then next time if there is any cold symptoms dont pop his medicine :-)

1) How often do you get cold , is it with the change of season or alergic in nature ?

2) Do you notice small, loose, whitish flakes on your scalp or trapped in hair strand with an itchy feeling ?

3) What is the texture of you hair (dry -dull etc)?

Dietry Advice:
Dairy products, fatty foods, seafood, and excessive sugar have all been shown to make dandruff worse.

Dear Nikkie,

Arsenic 6, 3 times a day

1. Cold is about couple of times in a year & is usually a combination of season change + allergy. For eg last time, i was on Mumbai streets with lots of dust & i suddenly started sneezing, in a day it developed in a full blown cold. my cold starts very typically with a sneeze, the first day wud be sneezing all the way, by the end of the day i've watery discharge 2nd the discharge becomes thicker & so on for a total cycle of 5 - 6 days. In about 3/4 days time, mucous starts coming from the throat.

2. dandruff is usually trapped in hair with an itchy feeling.

3. hair, unlike my skin & scalp, is curly & frizzy. Its not dull, however it is dry.

I am not fond of fried foods, burgers, chips, etc. However, i do have my bowl of skimmed milk curds everyday. since my diet is primarily vegetarian with an egg everyday, how do i get my protiens & calcium. Please advise.

I sweat :

1. when out in the sun, defnitely
2. intense physical activity, like a brisk walk, driving especially if its through a unruly traffic
3. Any intense discussion, be it with family, client, team members
4. Strange but i also sweat the most in an AC environment than a non AC, just as much as a AC makes me incomfortable

Please get hold of following medicine in liquid dilution:

1) Phytolacca Berry. 30.

>> Take one dose of Phytolacca B 30 in the morning for three days.

One dose means
The medicine is in liquid dilution form. Add 3-4 drops of medicine in some 20 ml (Approx. 3 sip) water then mix slowly with spoon. Sip up the content slowly.

Please follow homeopathy restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, and no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 45 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Dietry thought:
1)Please take 5-7 Fresh leaves of spinach empty stomach in the morning for 1 week.
2) Consume 1 carrot any time in the day.

Do visit ABC-Laughter as and when you get time, share some laughter with your family -friends. Best way to reduce work stress.

I suppose, Pytolacca Berry 30 is rare medicine, i had difficulties in getting Dr Reckwigs medicine. Finally, the chemist dispensed 15ml in a bottle from a larger content of SBL.

I've started my first dose today, so please do advise on observations.

Have been having carrots everyday, however dont like to eat spinach on an empty stomach. Did that for a day, felt really queasy the following day. However, i've been having steamed spinach for lunch.

This remedy should take care of you scalp itching,dandruff and hairfall....(sweating problem), reduction in toxin levels in system and enhancing the immune system of the body etc etc.

Need to see how your system accepts this remedie.

I had the second dose today,
it may be too early to say anything about dandruff & hairfall, since it continues

However, my perspirations has increased specially on my palms ...

Please give me a day to start on the spinach leaves, the thought makes my stomach churn. I will however do it at a stretch for 5 day in a day or two.

Do you apply any deodrant, talc. powder, perfumes etc.
If your answer is 'Yes', you need to stop all these.

Tip:
Please add 1-2 tea spoons of rose water in your last rinse while having bath 'OR' Just take rose water in your palm and apply it on your face hands after bath.
Please include water mellon in your daily fruit menu.
