If the right remedy start proving and become harmful because of overdose and overuse, what should do?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Stop the remedy.

You should never be taking so much of it that you start creating side effects.

Your homoeopath should have given you clear instructions on what to do if you get aggravations or new symptoms. No patient should be overusing any remedy if they have someone supervising their treatment.

Dear Brisbane,
Thanks for your reply. Have any option to alternate this remedy by similar, related or complementary remedy? The remedy, which was give excellent result and able to complete cure within one month, can I expect same achievement by founding similar remedy?

Are you cured? If so you don't need another remedy. All the more reason to stop the one you are taking now.

Cure doesn't need any help. It is complete, stable, and long-lasting.

What would you need further treatment for?

I was cured in past, but not now. Because, after the cure, I was again fall victim in same problem because of accident. So I have to repeat the remedy continuously. As a result, the useful remedy become harmful for me.

The reason a remedy no longer works is either because the symptoms have changed and it no longer matches the problem, or the remedy was only palliative in the first instance instead of curative (and such remedies usually only work once or twice).

I would suggest presenting your case so that a more appropriate remedy can be found. I assume you have no access to a homoeopath face-to-face?

GUIDELINES FOR GIVING HOMOEOPATHIC CASE INFORMATION

It is important to describe all your problems in as much detail as you are able. One word answers and short sentences are not particularly helpful. Discuss each problem one at a time, providing (as a minimum level of detail) the following information.

Please do not answer each of the following questions by placing all your problems in each one. Each of these questions needs to be answered for each problem eg. For you headaches answer 1-7, then for your reflux answer 1-7 and so on.

1. What exactly happens?
2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?
4. What creates some relief for the problem?
5. What triggers the problem into occurring?
6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?
7. When did the problem start? What was happening in your life at that time? Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?

Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing. IT IS VITAL THAT YOU GIVE A COMPLETE PICTURE OF YOUR HEALTH BY PROVIDING ALL PROBLEMS YOU HAVE, EVEN IF NOT CONNECTED TO THE MAIN ONE, AND EVEN IF YOU CONSIDER IT OF LESS IMPORTANCE. You should address each problem separately using the above 7 questions as a guide.

As well as this, please describe any traumatic incidents that have taken place in your life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on you mentally, emotionally or physically.

Discuss the way that you manage or deal with your problems, or any problems that occur in your life.

Discuss any patterns you have noticed in your behavior especially concerning your disease.

Discuss any part of your life where you feel stuck or unable to change and grow, especially where this occurred around the beginning of your disease, or as the disease evolved.

Describe your childhood and the kind of environment you grew up in, with reference to your relationships with your family, your school experiences, and any serious childhood diseases. Your parents may need to help you answer these questions.

If your earlier discussions have not mentioned these already, please describe:

1. The specific foods that you crave (not just like) or hate
2. The specific drinks that you crave or hate
3. What your sleep is like
4. How the weather and the temperature affects you
5. What kinds of things in the environment you are particularly sensitive to
6. What your general level of energy is like
7. What your level of sexual energy or desire is like
8. Describe your menstrual cycle

I will probably have more questions for you after that.

I also need to know what homoeopathic remedies you have taken in the past, and what the results were.

Dear doctor,
Thanks for your reply. I do not think my remedy which was choosen is not only temporary result, but also curative. Because, I did not take it only once or twice, I took it regularly, my condition was improved and at last get complete cure.

My current issue happen only by excessive repeated use. Remedy repeatation was happened because of repeatation of ailment. Repeatation of ailment was happened because of repeatation of cause. Because, I failed to change my habits and lifestyle, which was responsible for ailments.

That isn't our definition of cure. Cure means the complaint is gone permanently. If it returns then it wasn't cured.

There are lots of possibilities - cure is well defined in homoeopathy and takes place across all levels. We know that cure is permanent and not just a temporary improvement because of how far the remedy reaches into the person.

I know a patient is cured, because when the cause reappears, they do not get sick. Cure removes the sensitivity to the trigger, and removes the tendency to fall into a chronic disease pattern. A person who is cured, even if they come in contact with something that normally might cause sickness, will not become chronically sick but will recover on their own.

Even if someone suffers a relapse because you did not cure them completely, if the first remedy was correct for them, it will bring them back to health again. If it does not, then the remedy was not curative.

This is all theorizing right now because I have no idea what your case was like, what was given, what the direction of cure was like, what exactly changed and what did not. I cannot tell if you are in the same state as in the past or if the state is new. There are too many possibilities for conjecture.

But some ailment can come back again after cure; such as accident, injury etc. Suppose, a patient has broken his leg and get cure by treatment. But if he fall again in accident, his leg will broken again.

Cure also may be blocked which is call 'Block to Cure'. i.e. if a leg broken patient fail to control his movement during treatment, his leg will not able to reconnect.

Can you please tell me about similar remedy? In materia medica, some remedy indicate the term 'Similar Remedy'. When and why use similar remedy?

A broken leg is not a chronic disease. You cannot cure the capacity to break your leg, as this is part and parcel of having a human body.

An chronic ailment should never come back after cure - it was not cured if it comes back. All chronic disease depends on the internal weaknesses of the patient, not external triggers.

If you starve yourself you will get sick - this is unavoidable and cannot be cured. It is not a chronic disease it is a limitation of a human body. The same with burning yourself, cutting yourself, exhaustion from lack of sleep and so on. These things are not reliant on some internal problem maintaining them, they are all situational events that will occur to any person in that situation.

A similar remedy is partially correct - it usually does not cover a certain number of symptoms in the case. How well it helps you depends on how important those symptoms it does not cover are. You would never choose to use a similar, it is an imperfect match, but you may be stuck with it if you cannot find anything better. That might happen because you don't have enough knowlege of materia medica, because the remedy the patient needs has not been discovered yet, or because the patient themselves are giving too little information for you to make a better choice.

Some similars may be good enough to provoke cure, some may not.
