Brisbane Homeopath - acute cold in daughter

I am hoping this would be a quick question for you. My daughter has a cold, which is following her usual progression: starts with a sore throat, moves to a cough that lasts for awhile (sometimes up to 3 weeks) and can keep waking her up at night. No runny nose, just a bit stuffy. No fever. Her nighttime cough can be improved by giving her a spoonful of raw honey before bed.

In the past, we have had good success treating her colds with the Hyland's Cold and Cough formula, but I have been trying to avoid that this time since I've learned that these combination remedies are not very good to use (and go against the whole principle of homeopathy since they do not treat the individual). But I'm not quite sure what to give her without using that. I'm fine with not giving her anything all day, but it would be nice to have something to help her sleep better at night without coughing much.

I was thinking that, since I *think* she is a Puls constitutional type and since this is following her normal pattern for a cold, that I should give her a dose of Puls to see if that works. Does that sound like a good approach to you? I have both 30x and 200c on hand; which would be preferable to use for an acute cold? Or am I better off not giving her anything at all if I am not 100% sure on her constitutional type?

Dr. Alex,
I see your website, Hospital Pathology
Services. I assume you work there.
I know you have trouble with the
English and don't know how that is
possible working where you do??

But I think that is why your answers
are short. Who on this forum does
not have half knowledge? brisbane,
Nikkie, Dr.Showrav, Nawaz ?

Does anyone have the knowledge
that YOU DO_ and if so-describe
the full knowledge you think is
needed. Use google translator if
you have to.

Nevermind on this. I tried to give her nothing but some honey for her throat last night and a cough drop. After listening to her cough CONSTANTLY for 40 monutes when she went to bed, I finally went ahead and gave her a dose of the Hyland's Cold and Cough. This stuff really does work amazingly for her; she will continue to cough for about 10-15 minutes after she takes it, and then sleep wonderfully for about 5 hours. Then I gave her another dose when she started coughing lots in the middle of the night, and she slept til morning.

I did look at different remedy info to try to pick a specific remedy for her, but nothing stood out as being 'the' remedy. I don't quite know how to get past using the multi-remedy formula as it works so well for her and without it she won't be able to sleep at all. Perhaps taking a course as you mentioned would help me in having confidence to select a remedy for her.
