sick with anxiety

I am under great anxiety
due to a tragedy in my family .
can anyone tell me something natural that will calm me down fast.
If my heart doesn’t slow down soon
I fear it will stop.

Hi, there are some herbs that might help you. Kava Kava in liquid form is pretty strong, it has a sort of drunk effect. Lemon balm is a good herb, it makes me feel better without any side effects. Peppermint oil, and blue vervain also have a calming effect without negative feelings. If you want a stronger sedative, there is valerian, catnip, skullcap, and ashwaghanda. I don't take those because I always get depressed for up to three days afterwards. Avena Sativa helps in a non-sedating way, it's hard to say exactly what it does, but it does help. It is a strong aphrodisiac in my experience, which isn't good in certain situations. You should speak to a physician before trying any of them. And the kava can cause liver problems in long-term use. And try not to take more than one at the same time so you will know exactly what it does to you, and if how you feel the next day is o.k.

If the tragedy causes one to feel despair and grief then I think that ignatia would be of most benefit.

I believe the recommended dose is 1M on three consecutive nights and then stop. three total doses in all.

Ignatia is very effective for such situations. I am a novice but I have read this often and experienced it myself in the past.

Wait for more experienced people to write in......... they may be of better help.

Best of Luck,

Jenn
