Gelsemium or Argentum in top of Nat Mur??

Hi all,

I was given Nat Mur by my homeopath a couple of weeks ago, and over the last week had begun to seen marked improvement.

Then last night I got asked out on a date - which to anyone else might be a good thing, but for me is a major anxiety trigger. My homeopath is away on holiday so I can't ask her help.

I am just wondering if:
(a) it's ok to take another remedy while I am being treated with Nat Mur;
(b) would Gelsemium or Argentum be more applicable?

Many thanks for any help on this,

Lucy

Thank you for looking at my case:

Describe your main suffering and from how long? Chronic anxiety, with acute anxiety flare-ups triggered by the prospect of a man coming into my life romantically. This has been happening for six years now.

Exact location of problem? Anxiety – mainly in stomach 'knotted' and chest, dry mouth, can't breathe, exhaustion, racing thoughts.

Any cause which you feel for this ailment? Fear of the pain from relationship break-up, fear of commitment, fear of 'making the wrong choice'. Whenever a man so much as shows interest in me, my anxiety flares up and is awful.

What other physical sufferings do you have in your body? Aches and pains, mild sciatica left side, painful muscles left neck/shoulder, general physical tension, tinnitus (right ear), small haemorroid, digestive upset/bloating, lump in throat, PMT, chronic cough, constant knot in stomach. Hives after exertion, hot shower/bath. Callous on right palm for years. Breast cysts and bartholin cysts.

What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings? Anxiety, constant nervousness/fear, fatigue, relationship problems - major anxiety when trying to form a romantic relationship - almost a phobia now. Still feelings of rejection and grief from old relationships. In relationships I am insecure, unconfident, fearful, critical, over-analytical and jealous. Mood swings. I am very lonely.

When did it all start? Worst symptoms began six years ago, after emigrating to another country by myself – separation from home/family/friends – and then a painful relationship break-up at the same time.

What are the things which aggravate or ameliorate your suffering? Aggravates – anyone mentioning dating/marriage/weddings etc. Exercise – running makes me feel anxious. Ameliorates – not much. Being at home feeling warm and secure.

When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather? Better for hot, dry weather.

What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions? Cheese, wine, salty things, tea, seafood. Averse to roasted pepper/capsicum, sour food. When I am highly anxious I can't eat bread or meat, only fruits and yoghurt.

How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive? Less.

How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive? Less – when anxiety is bad, no appetite at all.

How is your bowel movement and stool type (Constipation etc.)? One bowel movement per day, loose stools when highly anxious.

How sleep, how are your dreams? Get to sleep ok, but sleep restlessly, full of vivid dreams (relationship issues/rejection/tidal waves), waking with frights, wake early unrefreshed and immediate anxiety on consciousness. Sleep mainly on right side, one leg straight, the other knee pulled up.

Do you have any strange, peculiar or unusual symptom or feelings? Can't think of any right now.

What medicines have been taken earlier? Antidepressants. Previous homeopathic remedies include Sepia, Carsinosin, Conium, Calc Carb, Arsenicum Album, Tub Bov, Ignatia and currently Nat Mur.

How do you look like (Appearance (fat, thin, smart, tall, lean etc)? Attractive, well groomed. 5ft5 tall, 8.5 stone, straight long light brown hair, light green eyes, freckles/fair skin, slim boyish figure.

If your are female how is your menstrual cycles and from how long (normal, irregular, painful, clotted, colour etc.) Regular, light, some clotting, very dark.

Family history - What major diseases are running in your family? Depression, anxiety, thyroid issues.

Any other information? I have been getting some improvement after Nat Mur 200c and was doing well up until yesterday when I got asked out on a date. My anxiety went through the roof, I feel ill with anxiety, I want to cancel the date to get relief.

If you feel relief from Nat.Mur then please continue with it till you feel relief.

Take Argentum Nit-200 (five drops empty stomach daily morning)

Take Passiflora-Q (10 drops per dose after breakfast and lunch and at bed time take 50 drops)

continue with these medicines for a week and note changes.

Brilliant - thank you so much!

What dose Nat Mur? I took 200c x 2, then no more as I had an aggravation. My homeopath was going to send me some 12c pellets but she has forgotten and gone on holiday.

Thanks,

Lucy

Ok - thank you.

My local healthfood store only has Argentum Nit in 6c and 30c pellets - will either of those do? Otherwise I will need to order them online.

Thanks,

Lucy

Since your symptoms are of mental nature, therefore, 200 or more will be suitable to you.

Is the Passiflora Q drops the Mother Tincture? I am ordering this and the Argent Nit 200c online.

Thanks,

Lucy

Hi Simone,

No I haven't been to see the homeopath who lives near me, but we have been in touch via email and she has been very helpful. I can't afford to see her right now, but will definitely keep her in mind for the future. She said she is working with a new methodology developed by Dr. Rajan Sankaran (Mumbai) - have you heard of him?

Thank you Dr Mahfooz.

I called off the date because I just couldn't bear the anxiety. Even though I have called it off, the anxiety remains. I have no appetite, loose stools, dry mouth, tight chest, feel like I can't get enough breath.

I took I x 200c pellet Nat Mur last night before bed, had a bad night's sleep, adrenaline rushes, tossing and turning, anxious dreams (drove car off a bridge at a great height, but landed ok on road below). And I still feel awful today.

The arg nit won't arrive until tomorrow. Should I proceed with your directions?

Many thanks,
Lucy

I confused - I keep reading everywhere that Nat Mur is the antidote for Argent Nit.

Can anyone clarify, please?

Thanks,
