help with cold and cough with fever
Hello Doctor,Please help me for my 5 year old daughter.
She has very frequent cold and cough conditions, atleast once a month.
last night she had fever also with cough and a lot of mucus which she is gulping. the discharge is white.
I gave Belladonna 30c in the night and put on wet socks.
she was restless the whole night but did sleep off an on.
She was warm and kept kicking the blankets off. (she usually does this, never keeps the blanket on even when she is well)
In the morning fever came down but not completely.
This morning I gave her pulsatilla 30c as she looked teary and clingy.
She asked for breakfast, ate milk and cereal and played for a while.
At 11 am she is lying again and fever is back. fever is about 100 - 101, not very high. Cheek are red and thirsty for sips of water. Gave her another dose of Belladona 30c.
History -
Last week she had stomach upset with vomitting. Mostly a virus she got from school. congestion is there since that time.
Gave her nux vomica then. vomitting only lasted for a day and then she was fine, but with little or no appetite.
In December she had a similar case of fever with cough, but that time the fever was very high in the 103-1-4 range. It lasted for 4-5 days. I only gave her Belladona then, and at the end of it when she complained of ear ache i gave her pulsatilla which worked for her. This time I did not take her to her pediatrician or give her any antibiotics.
I had to give her tylenol for bringing the fever down sometimes.
a few months before she had a cold and cough progress to pneumonia and once she had it progress to wheexing, when her doctor put her ona nebulizer.
Generally she gets sick like this atleast once a month with something or the other. This started when she started going to school in Dec 2011.
About her -
She is strong willed, knows exactly what she wants and likes, never keeps her blanket on at night.she is very habitual and organized, wakes up early and goes to sleep early.
Weather- We live in central New Jersey. weather right now is very cold and windy in the 30 -35 F range.

Treatment of Catarrh and Colds
The therapy that has helped many patients who were victims of Catarrh for a long time with sneezing and coryza is:
Eupatoriium Perfoliatum 200c in the Wet dose taken thrice daily for 3 days and changed to just TWICE WEEKLY thereafter.
Patients have reported that their sneezing has abated overnight with this therapy which is not prescribed for this ailment in the classical Homeopathic textbooks.
Those who have been catching colds have reported that their resistance to colds has improved in a manner that they considered as unbelievable.
It is essential that at the first signs of a cold, the patient takes this remedy in the Wet dose every 3 hours to ensure that the virus is aborted.
The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

I would like to add a few things.
Usually she starts with a cough and progresses thereafter. This time she has a stuffed nose and little bit of sneezing.
Also she grinds her teeth a lot when she is congested, almost constantly.

Bryonia 200c in the Wet dose is more effective to stop a virus which attacks the throat. It will also provide more protection against infection. She can gargle with a teaspoonful of this remedy nightly and you can observe if it helps.
