Blue star ointment?
Is it better for skin fungus then a phami like naftin using cortisone compared to blue star using Camphor...jphellman70 on 2005-09-09

The absolute best remedy for any kind of fungus is Tea Tree Oil. Do not apply it directly onto the skin. Mix a few drops with a carrier oil, like olive oil or with Eucerine gream which is what I do. Eucerine cream can be purchased at any drug store. It will work usually completely kill the fungus if applied twice daily for four days. If using to kill toenail fungus or to stop fingernail yellowing, apply Tea Tree oil directly to the nail full strength twice daily for four days. Works like a charm! I also recommend using an oral anti fungal and candida remedy that contains Tea Tree oil. Aspen Candida is a good brand that comes in a gel capsule. Check with health food stores.
