4 yr old with cough

I have a 4 yr old who has developed a persistant loose cough with mucus. She has not had any of her shots. Her older cousin has been diagnosed with whooping cough. My 4 yr old woke up last night with what sounded like croupe. She has no fever and is in good spirits. Is this the start of whooping cough? Is there something that I could give her to help the cough and avoid whooping cough?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Give your child heper sulph 6c five drops in a little water four times daily for a week.I hope it will solve the problem of your child,if not contact again.
