toddler wakes up yelling/whining in the night

What can I use to help my 2 1/2 year old sleep. He wakes up in the night yelling or whining, but isn't having a night terror. He does seem to be yelling/whining about his dreams, for example, last night he woke up and started saying 'Stupid Daddy!' and hitting me on my back (we co-sleep). He was responsive but upset. This sort of thing happens often. Maybe 3 or 4 times a week. What can I give him?

Kadwa-Thanks for your reply! Can you tell me your reasoning for the Nux Vomica? We do use it around our house, but usually for upset tummy.

go to top of forum and click on remedies shop and click N and read
Nux Vomica symptoms, under sleep. Lots of insomnia symptoms and
waking from dreams.
