Remedy advice please for 3 yr old acute

Hi please could I have advice on a remedy form my son, he is getting over a mild cold but recently the mucus has caused a few nasty ear infections so I want to prevent antibiotic use again.
I need a remedy to help clear the nose mucus
He sounds bunged up and I keep getting him to blow his nose, the mucus is clear and gooey,
No sneezing and the nose is not runny. Someone said hepar sulphur but they were guessing and would like some proper advice please as we're away tomorrow and am so worried it will build up in his ears again

Ok, in that case, this is how you give it:

Dissolve 3 pellets in 8oz cup, stir several times, and give him one teaspoon from this. This is one dose.

Give only one dose and update me. Throw away rest of the water.

Before I saw this i had already put 1 pellet in a very small amount of water and stirred and gave it too him. Hope that was ok?
I never usually have to repeat doses but I will report back thanks ever so much for responding :-)

It's already worked it worked really fast and he's not bunged up. Thank you

I'm guessing this will dry it up if it in the ears too so there won't be any ear infects?

Hi there he is still bunged up and I blow his nose and still how it was yesterday. It's not a runny nose. Clear apart from this am

Hi I only gave the dose a few hours ago as had no Internet as away on holiday, it doesn't seem to have done anything but I will see by tomorrow. And now I'm not sure if he seemed better after the first dose briefly because I was using lemon oil on him which is meant to help the mucus.
What are your view?

Do you treat constitutionally too?
