Calc fluor for lame horse with bone exostosis?

I have a horse with a chronic lameness in one forefoot. She has bony enlargements around the articulation in her pastern (the leg just above the hoof); although this articulation doesn't flex in normal movement, the abnormal bony growth obviously causes her pain and she prefers to keep her weight off that leg when possible.
I have started her on calc fluor 6c, but I am uncertain about the dosage. Comments or advice would be gratefully received.

Hi Bondre,

Please google this article ( link won't work right)
'Aging Spines Feel Young again' It is about an MD
homeopath in Illinois who is using Cal Flour 6x once
a day with two doses of Hekla Lava 30c to reabsorb
bony growth. 6x cell salts ( you can get them at
Whole Foods, hylands brand) they are low dose trace
minerals and can be taken every day . Usually 3 weeks
on, one week off. The key seems to be the combination
of the two remedies.

You also might want to google Dr. Christina Chambreu,
a holistic , homeopathic vet, who is very well known,
and you will find besides her site another Ask the
expert site, where she answers questions for free.

Thanks for your ideas, Simone717. I'll follow up the combination of CALC FLUOR with Hekla lava; although in the article you cited this combination seems specific to spinal bone spurs, I have discovered another reference to these two remedies for lameness problems in horses.
I sent a question to Dr. Christine Chambreau this morning, and she has already replied with useful indications about the principles of choosing potency and the frequency of dosing.

Hi,

I would be interested to hear what she had to say if
you want to share that.

Good luck to you on this.

Yes, please post your information here. I have a horse with sidebone and one with a splint. Neither seem bothered by them but I'd like to see if i can do something to help eliminate the extra bone and stop any new formations. thanks

This is the link to Dr. Chambreau's reply (below) if anyone is interested. Apologies, Simone , for taking so long to post this reply.
I have read that combining CALC FLUOR (low potency), Hekla lava 30c and Symphytum (30c? - not sure on the potency) gives good results in treating bony spurs caused by cartilage degeneration as in arthritis or equine ringbone. I'm going to start treating my mare and will share results.
