oscillococcinum-does it expire??
I've had great success using Oscillococcinum in the three dose pack for flu and I intend to keep it on hand for the upcoming flu season. My question is that I found three boxes that have a JULY 2003 expiration date on them. I think I bought them during a buy one get one 1/2 off sale two years ago. Anyway, they have been stored in a wooden box where I keep all my remedies, in a dark closet, away from heat, humidity or any odors. Do you think they are still "good?" Seeing as I have homeopathic remedies that are 10+ years old, I assume "yes" but I wanted to check.Thank you,

Jane,dont worry the medicine will be equally effective until they are finished physically.There is no expiry it is written just for nothing.Medicine that contains water expire but alcoholic and globules and tablets never expire if they are protected properly as you are doing,

There is no expiry date for Homeopathic remedies in Ethanol suspension.
Unfortunately however I have discovered that over the course of time, the ethanol evaporates and I have observed a 10ml plastic bottle to be emptied of its contents in about 5 years.
I note that you have used Oscillo successfully for the flu and you may like to know that I have used it on our staff in December 2003 when we usually have almost everyone on sick leave at one time or the other when one passes the infection down the line.
However I decided to use another approach against the Flu last December 2004 and gave them all one dose of Influenzinum 200. This had an amazing effect and we did not have any casualties at all except for a few who did not trust those little Homeopathic globules and did not take them when they were offered free.
I believe that prevention is far better than cure and would recommend that at the first indication of the flu which in Sri Lanka is usually in December that the Prophylactic Influenzinum 200 is used preferably in mid November and repeated in 2 weeks for best effect.
