Reflux-2 month and 10 days old baby

My baby has been diagnosed with infant reflux. The doctor first tried dentinox for 3 days and then nexium. Nexium worked for the first few days and her symptoms reducded but she still suffered from reflux for 2-3 hours in the evening before sleep..it is usually worse at that time.

On the 7th day of treatment, the nexium seems to not help anymore. She cries just a few minutes into breastfeeding and mostly gets a loud burp and gets hiccups immediately. At times she also throws up the milk and seems in pain. Recently her hiccups are more often, even during feeding.

Would really appreciate a remedy. I was okay to give her allopathy medicines if it will help her but now that it is not working, I saw suggestions of homepathy online. I thought I should try it rather than keep trying harmful medicines. Thanks a lot in advance, I hope I can get help.

How is the baby mentally & emotionally normally and when having reflux.

How is her desire to be breastfed.

How is her stool.

How is the baby mentally & emotionally normally and when having reflux.-At nights she feeds well. And she gets up happily and smiles n plays. But once the reflux increases as the day passes by, she gets all cranky and cries in discomfort.

How is her desire to be breastfed- She breast feeds often as she takes less in 1 feed as she feels uncomfortable with the reflux.

How is her stool. Her stool is normal. Sometimes once a day or more. She does get gas.

Please give her a dose of Calcarea Phosphorica 30c, just one dose and report back.

One dose is made by dissolving one pill of the remedy (or one drop, if you have liquid remedy) in half a glass of cooled, boiled water. Stir it and take one tea spoon from it.

A good example of how to report your progress is by giving %age improvement for all your health problems e.g.
Headache: 30% better
Low energy level: 50% better
Anxiety: 40% better
Sadness: No change
Depression: Worse
And so on list all your complaints.

Thanks. I will try to obtain the dosage as soon as possible..I live in Dubai.

Just to add, she is generally growing well. Has gained weight well and has chubby cheeks. Also, she sweats a lot in the head while breastfeeding.

Thanks again for your prompt reply. I will reply back to you with the result.

Hello. I managed the medicines from a pharmancy here.

After 1 dose as you said, she has breastfed once. She seems to feed better. And she is able to stay longer duration on the breast. She got hiccups but seemed less troublesome for her(Before, she used to cry in pain and feed less at feeds).

Now I am giving her second feed after the dose and it is 6.30pm. I will update you in the night(hopefully percentages) after observing her feeding, crying etc for today evening(evenings are usually her worst where she fusses, cries, wants to be held and rocked while we walk). Hopefully she will be better.

Let me know if I need to give her any dosages. Thanks.

Hello. I'd like to update, she did the same thing like evening feeds. After a few minutes of feeding, she starts crying and refuses to breastfeed. The reflux is probably happening as usual.

Let me know the remedy. Thanks.

If its been 12 hrs after the first dose, then please give her another dose of Calcarea Phos, just one dose and then report back.

Hello.

To update, my daughter seems slightly better. So far I can see:

Feeding: 80% better
Crying: 30% better
Reflux: Seems better, but she still seems fussy and crying, I will update you in the night to see one more day of her worst time in the evening.

Kindly let me know if I should give any doses. Thanks for your guidance.

We will decide about more doses based on your night update.

Hi, here is the feedback.

Feeding: 90% better : appetite is back and feeds for mong duration, since she doesn't seem in pain when feeding.
Crying: 70% better : still cries but easier to console, not crying inconsolably like past few days.
Sleeping: 90% better: She is napping in the afternoons now, seems more settled.
Reflux: Seems better, but in the evenings she is still a bit disturbed, need to hold her constantly, but she is not inconsolable like before. Her burps don't bother her now. She does spit up now that I stopped nexium but she doesn't seem in pain(before when she used to spit up, she used to cry and seemed uncomfortable). I am just worried that the spit up should not cause burning for her again and symptoms reoccur.

Thanks for your guidance, the remedy seems to have caused improvement so far. Waiting for further instructions.

We have the right remedy as you can see yourself all her symptoms have improved significantly.

Reflux will also get better, it might take a few days since she was given nexium which has messed up her system.

Keep me posted, if the improvement stops or things start going worse.

Hello. Thanks for your reply.

She has been fine the entire day. But now at her 6 pm feed, she is showing the same symptoms again...within 10 mins of feeding, she burped and spit up. Then she started crying and refuses to feed. She is making gurgling type sounds also which she does when she has reflux.

Kindly advice what to do.

Please prepare a liquid dose as explained below and give one teaspoon when & if things go worse. Don't give more than two doses per day (12 hrs apart) and keep me posted.

One dose is made by dissolving one pill of the remedy (or one drop, if you have liquid remedy) in half a glass of cooled, boiled water. Stir it and take one tea spoon from it.

Hello. I gave her one dose last night and one in the afternoon today. My daughter is having the same symptoms again, crying loudly in pain after feeding. Kindly advice

It seems there has been an overdose. Please give no more doses and wait for 24 hrs. Things should improve.

Keep me posted.

Hi,

I stopped giving her more doses as you recommended. For the doses I mentioned I followed your instructions, I had kept the 12 hour gap between the 2 doses I mentioned, giving it when the symptoms were a lot.

There seems to be continued improvement in feeding. Yesterday evening she cried once inconsolably after her feed. After that she was cranky, but manageable.

Today she has been fine, feeding a lot and sleeping a lot. But she did cry after her feed once.

I will keep you updated if things get worse.

Good that things are improving.

Hello.

Unfortunately this evening she got a lot of reflux. Kindly advice.

msmommmy last decade
Please let at least 24 hrs pass after the last dose and then report back.

If the things are improving generally and there are 1 or 2 accidents, its still ok.

We will accordingly decide about future course of action.

Hello.

The reflux is back full force. It is happening at every feed, even the night. She cries in pain few minuted after every feed. And my daughter doesn't want to be put down even for 2 minutes.

Let me know. Thanks.

msmommmy last decade
Please give her one dose, just one dose ASAP and then update me.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. The dose really helped.

She was a different baby for the two feeds she had after the dose! She cried for just few seconds, she was in fact smiling and playing which is rare in the evenings. Only thing was that she had some hiccups.

Let me know if and when to administer further doses.

Also, in case the reflux hits back tomorrow, can I give her one dose after a 12 hour gap(asking now so I can act fast, rather than having to ask again only after it recurs)?

Thanks, your help is invaluable. It is hard to see the baby suffer so much and plus it gets draining for me as well. Thank you
