People do, but it is against homoeopathic principles. Changing to a new medicine should only be done after the effects of the first one is assessed. Medicines can have effects for many days, even weeks, so taking another one too early can cause significant problems.

Medicines can antidote each other if they have similar symptoms to each other. Complementary medicines are often similar to each other in specific ways.
