Acute and Chronic

If there is an acute condition such as flu or bronchitis, is it better to wait until better to take the remedy for a chronic condition or it does not matter?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The answer depends upon how you define acute and chronic. In homeopathy a acute disease is one which either kills the patient or resolves by itself. It does not linger. Whereas chronic diseases may not kill immediately but do not go away on their own. They require medicine. There is another variety which looks like a acute but is really acute aggravation of a chronic problem. In the true acute case it does not matter what medicine you give though constitutional medicine is always preferable. In acute aggravation of chronic problem caution has to be exercised. In asthma for example if you administer the constitutional medicine when the acute attack is on there will be serious aggravation and the patient will suffer needlessly. The patient will leave you and your reputation will suffer.
