Too many attempts to find the correct remedy.

I do not have access to a homeopath. I've been trying to correct a cough in a 1 1/2 year old. I've heard it said that if you try too many remedies for a certain illness, that even the correct one will not work. Is this true? And if so, how do I get back on the right track?

Thank you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
No this is not true. The simillimum will always cure. SUPPRESSION with incorrect remedies can make this more difficult, but not impossible. Incorrect remedies that have no real effect, or create some minor new symptoms, will not have any effect on whether your child will be cured.

Suppression (or continuous Palliation) is where you get into danger. If a remedy must be repeated often to keep the symptoms in check, or if treatment seems to make one symptom disappear and a more serious one appear or worsen, you have palliated and then suppressed the person's disease. This can make cure more difficult, and if done over a long time (years usually) could make them extremely hard to treat.

I doubt anything like this has happened here.

The right remedy has to be found - that is all.
