The ABC Homeopathy Forum

1 month old new born hasn't pooped in 2 days.

Need guidance. Born Nov 4th in the afternoon around 4 hst.

Everything else seems to be normal with her, feeds often, sleeps, trying to talk.... just realized she hasn't pooped in a while. No fever noted... but since birth her normal temperature has seemed warmer than average (when compared to my other 2 children).

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Actually, it is perfectly normal for a baby at around 1-2 months to go from several bowel movements a day to several days between bowel movements. This is nothing to be concerned about, especially if everything else seems normal. It isn't how often a baby moves his bowels that matters, it is how hard the stool is when it is passed.

The first thing I would do if you feel your baby's bowel habit is showing problems, is to introduce a probiotic into her diet. Thriving gut flora can often remove many of the digestive problems modern humans are plagued with.
