On Homeopathy

Dear Dr.s,

I need an answer from you regarding Homeopathy. Before knowing how homeopathic dilutions are prepared,I was confident in getting a homeopathic treatment.Infact, I had argued with my parents, sister and friends that homeopathy is the best form of alternative medical treatment.I came to know a month back that these homeopathic dilutions don't have even a single molecule or an atom of the original drug that are used to make dilutions. So, the final homeopathic dilutions could contain only water. Now, I am amazed to know how those dilutions work for potencies like 200C,1M,10M,50M which are just water alone. If it makes a cure,I want to know how it works on what basis. Please don't mistake me as I ask you like this and my doubt about homeopathy has to be cleared so that I can get Homeopathic treatment again.Kindly reply me.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
This is something that science could not explain until recently.

The Dr. who won the Nobel Prize for mapping out the Aids virus, was
doing experiments on water to see if substances can be detected in
high dilutions.

Because there are now instruments which are highly sensitive he found that
the substances he diluted were actually in the high dilutions. He is not
a homeopath but he said this proves that homeopathy is correct in saying
high dilutions of water are not Nothing- they have the substance in them.

Homeopathy works on the law known since Hippocrates- like cures like.
When a substance similar to your disease is introduced the body will
automatically reject it and clear it by raising your life force to do it, your
life force is clearing the remedy and your similar disease at the same time.

High potencies are known to work on the higher planes ( mental) low potencies
can work more on the physical plane. There is a lot science does not know,
but probably could know and will know -and you can consider that
homeopathy works on babies, and animals who don't know they are taking
anything, and if the remedy choice is wrong, it won't work.

Simone 717,

May I know that Dr. who won the Nobel Prize and proved that High Dilutions of water are not nothing.Has he proved the existence of the dissolved substance in High dilutions. The same question I have asked a Doctor on www.allexperts.com and still waiting for his answers too.Once I get his answers,I'll paste that on this thread.

Hi-

This info has been posted here several times. ( the doctor is
Dr. Luc Montagnier)

People on here already know homeopathy works, no one needs convincing
about it - in other forums, groups etc they think homeopathy is some
type of scam-just plain ignorance and those people seem to hate
alternative medicine so that is a different kind of useless battle and
waste of time talking to them. The head of Wikipedia, hates homeopathy
and you can see the articles post factual info and then manipulates that info
to show that homeopathy is I guess a 200 year long cult of nonsense.

If anyone posts any other info on homeopathy on wikipedia, you will find
within 20 minutes, it is "gone'. It is very strange how people have
actual hatred for it.

I have used homeopathy for 20 years on my family for acute things,
works instantly, and my homeopath gave up his MD practice and did
homeopathy instead. In Italy to be a homeopath you have to be an MD
first and only then get certified in homeopathy- so it begs the question,
Why would all these intelligent people practice this method when they
don't need to?

---------
Dr Luc Montagnier on homeopathy and high water dilutions:

Montagnier, who is also founder and president of the World Foundation for AIDS Research and Prevention, makes the following strong statement for homeopathy and homeopathic doses: "I can't say that homeopathy is right in everything. What I can say now is that the high dilutions are right. High dilutions of something are not nothing. They are water structures which mimic the original molecules."

In a study that was published in 2009, Montagnier demonstrated that some bacterial DNA sequences are able to induce electromagnetic waves, even at high aqueous dilutions up to 10^-18. This study was an important contribution to the growing evidence base in fundamental research with direct relevance to homeopathy.

I read about Dr.Luc just now and want to say something more on it.You said that wikipedia's head hates homeopathy. But the wikipedia also includes some points which I paste it here as,

When asked by Canada's CBC Marketplace program if his work was indeed a theoretical basis for homeopathy as homeopaths had claimed, Montagnier replied that one "cannot extrapolate it to the products used in homeopathy".

what does the above point mean which is not clear?

Hi- I put what Dr. Montagnier said up in the above post ( that link to the article
won't work right)

Previously science was saying that nothing could exist in water in
high dilution. That is due to the fact there were no instruments sensitive enough
to show anything. Dr. Montagnier says the instruments he used are only
able to detect things at the levels he experimented with.

So who knows what next will be found or proved thru better instruments.
Hahnemann thought that the scabies mites were some type of skin disease
because they had no instruments to see these were actually tiny bugs.

Since Dr. Montagnier is not a homeopath, I think what he is saying is
he cannot go into homeopathic products and remedies and how they work
or don't work. All he is saying is that the substance CAN exist in high
dilutions, where previously people said Nothing can exist in high dilutions.
