The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Is it really Homeopathy on ABC?

I am a beginner on ABC. I thought Homeopathy was all about Rubrics and Symptoms. On going through many posts I came across terms like IBS, CBIT,GERD....The patient seemed to be a better allopathy doctor. There is no room for such afflictions in Homeopathy. Except for one software there is no standard software which starts with afflictions. Yet no prescriber asks for symptoms from the alleged patient. Is this Homeopathy? Let senior Homeopaths of this Forum please comment.
Lets make this forum really helpful to all.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Nothing wrong in using those terminologies. They define a set of symptoms.

The prescriber tries to elicit the modalities/ conditions related to aggravations/amel desires and aversions and concomitants.

Then he prescribes a suitable medicine.

Patients are not aware of basics and & priciples of any pathy, be it homeopathy or allopathy. So, they will use their own language and what have they learnt from amin stream. That's not a real problem but as you rightly said, it is the prescribers who should know what's the right way. I see some people just enjoy advising (May be a hobby) and hence keep advising like "Babas".

Few people, read some internet content and few stray books and want to advise and experiment. Who has checked their authenticity?

This is bound to happen here, unfortunate though, as this is not a professional platform.
