The ABC Homeopathy Forum

5 year old

My 5 year old has a low grade fever. (99.8 F) She is very congested. She is sneezing and coughing. The doctor said it was viral bronchitis. In the beginning, she was still happy and eating well. Now she's cranky and clingy. She's very attached to me anyway, but now she follows me to the bathroom, shower and wines when I leave her side. I am coughing as well with a slightly lower fever. Thank you in advance.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Focusing only on what changed since this problem started, please answer:

What else is different about her since this started?

How is the thirst/appetite?

What makes the cough better or worse? When does it happen?

What in general makes her symptoms better or worse?

Different: She is complaining of knee pain in both knees. She is waking up between 2 and 5 am.
Thirst/appetite. She is not hungry and when she asks for something, she says she doesn't like the taste. Her thirst comes in spirts. She will drink large amounts, but not drink for a couple hours.
Cough: Worse in the morning and evening, but there are not fits or gagging. Just a few coughs every 30 minutes or so. Probably better sitting up.
Improvement: She feels better in a warm bath. I don't see her symptoms worse inside or in fresh air. She seems about the same.
Thank you so much.

so this thirst for large quantities is different than her normal self since this started ?

What do you mean by congestion? Is there any discharge from nose? If yes, what is the texture/color?

She is much more clingy to you right now than her normal self?

Stays up for how long, the entire duration of 2-5 am?

What do you think started the problem? Any trigger you can think of?

Better in a warm bath? This is because she is desiring warmth right now, or the humidity/steam helps her?

This how she regularly drinks, but she is drinking with more frequent spirts.
Her nose discharge is clear and think. It often run's from her nose.
She is more clingy than normal.
She does not stay up from 2 to 5, she wakes between those times and goes back to sleep within in 10 minutes unless she wakes after 5.
I think the trigger is exposure. Many children in her kinder class were sick with similar symptoms. My husband also was sick with the same symptoms for 48 hours.

How is her temperature preference, and is it any different since this started? Is she feeling any cooler or warmer than usual?

since when has this been going on?

Also, Please see my question about bathing above.

She is colder than usual. She is wrapped in a blanket. Her temperature is now 100.6 the highest it has been. She started Thursday and today is Saturday in The States.

Please give her a dose of ARSENICUM ALBUM 30c in 8 oz ml spring water.

Dissolve 2 pellets (leave the pellets for about 15 mins to melt and shake gently) in a 8 oz spring water bottle, and give one spoon from the solution JUST ONCE.

This remedy can be procured from whole foods or other health food stores in the US.

Please report to me in a few hours after this dose.
