Bulky ovaries and no periods Page 4 of 3

Ranu,
I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. I am more dependent on clinical examination rather than the USG.But as you are sitting far from me ,there is no way to examine you clinically. There's no hurry to get the usg but to asses the conditions of your ovaries it's needed.

Dr R Basu,

USG of lower abdomen is done. The report is attached herewith.
Radiologist said one cyst is found in right ovary and there is hormonal imbalance in the left ovary. Unlike last usg , Ovary size is normal. Since all the criteria of PCOS were not found , hence PCOS term is not mentioned in report.

My periods have not stopped yet . Today is the eighth day. However there is no sign of any pain or uneasiness in the body.

URINARY BLADDER : Urinary bladder is well distended and appears normal. No focal lesions are seen.

UTERUS : Uterus is normal in size , anteverted, measures 6.8 * 2.7 * 4.0 cms. Endometrial echo measuring 8.2 mm

OVARIES :

Right ovary shows well defined anechoic cyst measuring 4.2 * 3.3 cms

Left ovary measures 2.9 * 1.5 cms, appears normal in size and echotexture

There is no free fluid in the pelvis

IMPRESSION :
Right Ovarian cyst -? Follicular retension cyst
