Please help me with LM potency Opium treatment for right side paralysis

I am a stroke survivor for the past 18 months with right side paralysis. My motor functions are intact, but limited in function by stiffness, heaviness, numbness, low coordination, pain in r. shoulder/arm and dryness in palm. My symptoms got very much aggravated with 200C Opium. So, using it in LM potency, I found good results with paralytic walk and dryness of palm, but experienced severe shoulder disability and pain after LM 10 and stopped the treatment. The intensified shoulder discomfort has stayed. Can anybody please suggest me whether I can restart Opium from LM1 and what to do when shoulder discomfort intensifies again? Can someone help me with my next move or suggest me a good homeopath experienced in healing Paralysis, particularly using Opium LM potency?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Have you had this shoulder pain / discomfort in the past? Or is it a new symptom?

I had the shoulder functional limitations and pain in the early days, but not in this intensity. There is a loss of strength, constant muscular pain in upper and lower arm, can't sneeze, cough or laugh in supine position or perform any jerky motion like move the blanket in bed. There is a drastic reduction in the range and extent of arm movements like how high I can raise my arm etc. I am afraid that if I do not regain at least the functionality I had regained after PT and OT, muscle wastage may ensue. I am now controlling the situation with Lycopersicum esculent. Sanguinaria Canadensis has been of no help.

Please stop all the remedies for now and start taking Cocculus indicus 30c thrice a day for 3 days and report back in 10 days.

1 dose is 2 pills or drops.

Did not find any improvement in 3 days. So, continued till 9/16/2018. The discomfort level has stayed without further deterioration. How about I add Dioscorea 30C 3 times a day?

Please stop taking Cocculus if it didn't work.

I'm not sure about Dioscorea but if you can answer some questions, I'll see if it fit your current symptom.

1. Exact location ( affected organs)

2. Sensation ( eg. sharp pain, stubbing, dull, throbbing, numbness etc)

3. What makes you feel BETTER;
a. Any Specific time of the day? (e.g Early morning, noon, evening, after midnight etc)

b. Any seasons / weather? (e. g cloudy, dump weather, cold rainy days, hot humid etc)
c. Having any type of foods / drinks?

d. Any specific posture? (e.g bending knees, lie on a back etc)

4. What makes you feel WORSE;

About yourself in General;

1. Do you have any fears?

2. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?

3. How is your thirst; Less, Normal or Excessive?

4. How is your hunger; Less, Normal or Excessive?

5. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?

6. How is your bowel movement and stool type?

1. Exact location (affected organs)

Right side hemiplegia. Right side of neck, Trapezius, muscles on the scapula, sternocleidomastoid, deltoid, Respiratory and anterior muscles below chest. Biceps, lateral and anterior muscles in the arm, wrist joint, all fingers, muscles on sacrum, lumbar region, anterior and posterior muscles of thigh-hamstring in particular, muscles of leg and toes, anterior part of the sole-below and behind toes.

2. Sensation (eg. sharp pain, stubbing, dull, throbbing, numbness etc)

Motor activity – yes. But stiff, heavy, restricted in function due to sprain-like pain in ligaments, muscle weakness, tenderness and lack of coordination, decreased range of motion, formication in arm, numbness and absolute dryness with decreased grip, sense of touch in all fingers and the palm. Bruise like pain muscles of arm and back. Constant stiffness with pain in lower back and arm. A feeling of lump below lung: X-ray is clear.

3. What makes you feel BETTER;

When perfectly still. While in action like walking on a treadmill. Oil massage and hot bath. Exercising and massaging the aching part. Sleeping on my left side and trying to sleep on my right with arm folded below neck level. Let the arm hang down to relieve shoulder and arm distress.

Worse: a. Any Specific time of the day? (e.g Early morning, noon, evening, after midnight etc)

Night: Waking after every restful sleep. Trying to stand up in the morning.

b. Any seasons / weather? (e. g cloudy, dump weather, cold rainy days, hot humid etc)

Greater distress and rigidity upon exposure to windy/rainy and cold weather.

c. Having any type of foods / drinks?

No impact by Cold / hot Food / drink
.
d. Any specific posture? (e.g bending knees, lie on a back etc)

Stooping. Trying to reach for things on floor or reach for things with bending knees (squatting)

4. What makes you feel WORSE;

Trying to sleep without pillow or head slides down the pillow. Sleep on right shoulder holding palm under the head. Trying to reach for objects above, below, behind, twisting to right or left side. Unfolding the knee after a sleep. Knee protests standing after a relaxing sit on a chair or bed.

About yourself in General;

I am 5’ 6” tall, 180 Lbs., Ph. D in Biochemistry. Researcher by profession, mostly sitting at job or home. Creative, inquisitive, Intellectual, analytical, technical in aptitude, got to be right, self-sufficient and self-reliant approach to life.

1. Do you have any fears?

Financial insecurity and indignity because of current health.

2. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?

Crave for tasty, spicy, comfortably hot starchy food. Fruits, Ice cream. Aversion to oily, bland, cold foods.

3. How is your thirst; Less, Normal or Excessive?

Normal.

4. How is your hunger; Less, Normal or Excessive?

Normal.

5. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?

Sweat normal, more if focused on fixing like in repairing a machine or exercising. Sweat in head, face, joint crevices, limbs.

6. How is your bowel movement and stool type?

Normal, well formed, hard.

7. How well do you sleep and do you have a particular posture of sleeping?

At least 4 hours at a stretch. Sleep on my left side head resting in palm.

8. Do you normally feel hot, warm, cold, or chilly?

Before stroke, hot. Now chilly at 70o F.

9. What medications have you been taking to treat the disease?

Allopathic: amlodipine, Carvedilol, Valsartan, hydrochlorothiazide, Atorvastatin, glipizide, metformin, Clopidogrel, Baclofen, Nutritional supplements.
Homeopathic: Over past 1 year, explored most (60) remedies used to address hemiplegia. Found Opium, Rhus. Tox, Sarcolactic, Agaricus, Calcarea Carbonica, Cocculus Indicus, Baryta c, Belladonna, Bryonia alba were helpful.
These homeopathic remedies were found to be helpful with some aspects of my ailment in some regions the body at that given time. Each of them was used for less than a week. I had observed that either they needed to be used in a combination compatible with my constitution or find a simillimum. Dabbling with bookish knowledge was a total disadvantage with respect to purpose, time and money.
Since Opium matched symptoms I experienced on the day of my stroke like nausea & vomiting and most of symptoms I had after the stroke except for the general torpidity of the entire system, I thought I probably had found the simillimum for my condition.
Since moving from Sarcolactic 200C to 1M aggravated and sensitized my constitution to accept <200C for most of the remedies including Opium, Rhus and Agaricus, I decided to go for aggravation controllable Opium LM series. As I mentioned in my first posting, the results were very encouraging. ‘My sweep and stomp’ paralytic strut disappeared, my ultra-dry palm became sweaty and grippy. But I developed shoulder distress and did not know whether I could proceed with Opium without further damage.
Please tell me whether I can go back to Opium LM series again if I find a remedy for my shoulder distress?
If I restarted Opium LM series again, can I take the remedy for shoulder distress or any other distress that might arise while I am still on Opium LM series?
Somewhere I read that in such situations, stopping the LM medication for a few days and restart with the next LM level will resolve the situation. That aggravated symptom will be cured. Is that how it works?
Is that how it works only if the chosen remedy is a simillimum? Please enlighten me and guide me.

I would suggest Arnica 30c thrice a day for a few days for your arm pain and see how you feel after that. Arnica is also good for Hemiplegia after stroke.

You can restart with Opium LM ( I suggest start from LM1) but does it cover your pain?

In homeopathy, you have to match the symptom otherwise you are just trying and hoping that something would work...
