deep pocket cleaning

Hello, I am going to go in for deep pocket cleaning or scaling. I have seven teeth that need the surgery from the upper jaw. I know that half of them are moving and am afraid of this surgery. Since it involves going beneath the gum line and probably damaging the gum tissues that is supporting the tooth. Is there any remedies that I could take to prepare me for the surgery and any to help my teeth and gums recover? Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Is there any pain? Is there any bleeding? Is there any pus?

You may take Merc Sol 200 in pill form. 6 pills 3 times a day. Continue it only for 3 days. Then stop and observe 7 days carefully. Then come back and report.

Thank you for your suggestion. I just want to add that my gums have been receding for about 5 years and now the problem teeth have gaps between them and the other teeth. They have been bleeding for five years off and on. I took a blood test and found that my iron is very low. I am taking a supplement and feel stronger but my gums and teeth are troubling me. My dentist wants me to have the deep cleaning and told me that my teeth will afterwards be sensitive to hot and cold and I would need to use a special toothpaste. She is hoping the gums will regrow tightly around my teeth afterwards. Now with all this information do you still recommend Merc Sol 200. I did order it. I just want to be sure. My appointment with the demist is in two weeks. Thank you

Are you sure that your gum line is infected?

freehomeoforall 4 years ago

I believe my gum line is infected. Well at least where these teeth are for sure. They even feel different with my tongue. I can’t really explain what kind of different but they are different. If the gums are not infected then why do they bleed and some teeth are loose? I am not use of loosen the gums and cleaning or scraping the tooth for plague or tartar will be good for the gums and my teeth. My both parents had the same issues and lost their teeth. Please help me, really advise me what todo. Thank you!

Penny3

I was following your previous post last year and was wondering if it is possible to reverse receding gum to healthy gum.

I have not seen or heard any success story using homeopathy for receding gum, especially if your pockets are deeper than 5 mm, it is not possible to reverse the process.

So if I understand you correctly in this post, you are asking if there any remedies that can help you before and after the surgery?
If so, I would suggest you take Arnica 30c 1- 2 doses before the surgery.
Also if you have dental phobia, take Argentum nit 200c 1 -2 doses. If Argentum Nit does not help, you may take Gelsemium 200c. Gelsemium is a good remedy for fear especially if you develop diarrhea from extreme fear. ( So you may be going to the bathroom many times before going to the dentist)

And for after the surgery, you may have pain for a few days or more. You can take Arnica 30 or 200c as needed ( it will help if you are still bleeding) and take Plantago major (Plantain) the herbal form as needed. This is a great herb for any kind of pain.
Also, take Calendulla 200c twice daily for healing your gum. You may also use the herbal form of Calendula.
You can buy from iherb if you are in the U.S.

And If you feel sick or feel nausea after a local anesthetic, you may take Phosphorus 30c up to 4 doses a day for a few days.
All the best.

Okay, then you are not recommending Mer sol anymore or do you want me to continue. You think it best to continue with the surgery. Yes some areas are more then 5 mm . They will put numbing gel on my gums for this procedure. I canceled the appointment but will reschedule for Friday or in September. I was hoping there was a remedy or herb that will help my gums reconnect to my teeth. I heard of white oak bark and thought there has HAS to be a homeopathic remedy. Does anyone on the forum know of a remedy that could help? I do not want to loosen my gums even more and have the dr recommend a specialist. I appreciate any additional advice. Thank you.

Hi,

Think of the dental problem as if you wanted
To paint your house, but it had moss/ mold growing-
The paint would not adhere unless the stuff was
Scraped off first. Plaque builds up and is a barrier
To gums connecting right. Doing this lets the guns
Adhere- not loosen.

Hello Tui,
Thank you for the information and I will order the herbs from iherb. The doctor is going to put some kind of gel on my gums to numb the area instead of local anesthetic injection.

Simone,
Thank you for explaining what's going on with my gums comparing them with the house. Now it is making sense for me. Do you know of any remedy that can help adhere the gums quicker or food, herb, nutrient.

freehomeoforall,
I cannot find any Merc Sol in drops. What do you mean not being patience. Are you advising me to hold off on the surgery until I see a difference.
