Rash on back of neck - Radioactive Iodine Pill>?

Would appreciate advise for treating a very red itchy rash on the back of my neck. It is so itchy during the night, and wakes me from sleep. The rash suddenly appeared about 10 yrs ago as a red patch, and located in only one square area on the back of my neck approx. 3" x 5". But, over the last 8 months it has become very itchy and almost intolerable during the night, waking me up at least once or twice. I have to get up, try to apply cold water and hope it calms down, then go back to sleep after about an hour. The only thing I can think of that might relate is that I was given a radioactive iodine pill when I was 29 to destroy an overactive thyroid. (I know - big mistake but many years ago.)
Any suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

Dr Anuj,
Feedback after 5 days of remedy - No change to itching or redness in rash. Wakes me up from sleep at least 2x/night. Maybe slightly worse....
Over the past 4 months have also tried Hydrastis 30c, Kali Iodatum 30c, Mezereum 6c, Aconite 6x, Lachesis 30c (prescribed by my homeopath, who is no longer able to practice.) Could not get any relief from symptoms.
Thank you!

Hi,
Have you ever tried using calendula ointment
On it? It is very soothing and healing for the skin-
It may help you with the itching.

simone717 3 years ago
Thank you kindly for your suggestion. I have used Calendula on my neck before going to bed to try to alleviate the itchiness. However, it really did not make a difference. Stumped on this one! I could put up with the redness but the itchiness wakes me up from sleep. Appreciate your expertise.

Feedback after 4 days:
The only change I made was to make a liquid from the Urtica Uhrens 30c (dissolved 6 pellets in 8ox water) and applied that topically because the tincture would take about 2-3 weeks to get.
I can still order it if needed. Would the alcohol burn?

No change in itching at night. Rash is less red -about 25%. Skin on back of neck still dry and little rough.
Thank you again.

The redness of the rash reduced by 25pc last time,What is the status now?

THE INTENSITY OF ITCHING SAME AS BEFORE?

CAN YOU SPECIFY THE EXACT TIMINGS OF THE ITCH .

Good Morning,
Redness of rash is 50% Improved. Pink now instead of fiery red, but will get more red if I am itching it. Sometimes so itchy, scratching is only help, and maybe little warm water to alleviate dryness.
Rash will wake me up from sleep once or twice during night and sometimes I have to get up and, pin my hair off my neck and wait a half hour or so for the rash to abate. Could be anytime from midnight to 4am. Same intensity, but perhaps frequency very slightly improved- once or twice per night instead of 2 or 3 times?
Looks like a very old man’s skin on neck, ruddy, dry, rough.
With gratitude, M

Hi,
I suggest if this does not work,see a dermatologist/
Or get a physical exam with CBC, thyroid levels,
Liver panel etc to investigate the real cause
And get accurate diagnosis. I have had experience
With patients who had similar rashes, diagnosed
With food allergy, liver problems, thyroid levels
Off and even very early breast cncr( from small
Rash on top of head.)

Thank you Anuj, not understanding or familiar with the repotrisation, except that the only symptom is the night itching and rash on neck. No other rashes or allergies. Have done homeopathy for 30 yrs. Bloodwork and thyroid numbers are perfect. Appreciate your kindness. Will try this last recommendation. Best to you~
