Daily headches and neck stiffness after a fall over a year ago

I am a male and 21 years of age. I have been suffering with headaches and neck pain for over a year. It all started two months after I had a fall and hit the back of my head. The next day I was fine and for at least 2 months I had no symptoms at all. Then suddenly one day I woke up with a pounding headache in back left side of my head. The headaches are constant and sever at times and usually last all day. It has been over a year andI still get them everyday. I go to bed with a headache and wake up with a
headache. Its always there and at times gets unbearable. I got a CAT scan and a MRI done and there are no sign of any injury to my brain. i tried several medications but none seemed work. My aunt recomended me to to homepathic remedies and I picked Natrum Sulph 6X. I take 4 tablets 4 times a day and still haven't noticed any improvements. Are there any other homepathic remides that can give me relief from chronic headaces and neck pain and stiffness??
Or should get a higer dose of natrum sulph?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Glad that the MRI does not show any permanent injury to the brain.

I believe that Arnica 30c in the wet dose can help you.

This is made by inserting 3 pellets of the remedy or 2 drops if you have the liquid remedy in Ethanol into a 500ml bottle of spring water you can get from any supermarket. You must shake the bottle hard about 10 times before you sip a teaspoonful 3 times daily an hour after meals.

Report response in a week or earlier if you experience relief which can sometimes occur within a few hours of the first dose.

Dear Roy,

Please take Arnica as Joe has advised. Also take Natrum Sulph 200 three doses dissolved in half a glass of water.Stir the medicine solution vigorously in the glass 8-10 times with a spoon and then take one teaspoonful of the medicine morning afternoon and evening. It will heal any internal injury to the head/brain.

If there is injury to your neck muscles, for that you can take Rhus Tox 1M one dose. But first you should take Natrum Sulph and Arnica. Don't take Arnica on the day that you take Natrum Sulph. After a week of Arnica, if the neck stiffness does not improve, take Rhus Tox 1M one dose.

Rajiv,

I would prefer that Roy uses the Arnica 30c only as I feel that it can help him as it has helped many others who have suffered similar injuries which have resulted in chronic pain.

I do not think that he needs Rhus Tox 1M right now as there is only his headache to overcome which I feel the Arnica will help. I believe that it is due to some pressure which may be caused by the blockage of the drainage from his brain.

He has already used the Nat Sulph but in the 6x potency with no positive response and I would prefer that he sticks to my therapy for a week and we can then consider an alternative approache later.

Dear Joe,

I can tell you from personal experience of using Nat Sulph 200 and above on many occasions where an internal brain injury was suspected. It has never failed me.The great Dr.Kent, one of the greatest homeopaths the world ever saw has recommended this medicine in internal head injuries.By taking this medicine, all that a person does is eliminate the probability of any brain injury remaining.A brain/head injury may cause complications even years later.

Arnica of course is a great injury remedy.By taking Natrum Sulph on any one day, there is no interference in the working of Arnica. On other days he may take Arnica.

PS. Natrum Sulph 6X was not appropriate in this case as the potency was a biochemic one which works on different principles than homeopathic dilutions. That is the reason Nat Sulph 6X did not work.

OK Ravi, although I have not used Nat Sulph 200 for this type of injury I see no reason not to ask Roy to use it since both you and Kent have advised it.

I would however not agree to the Rhus Tox 1M which I do not think can help this case.

I have often used RT 1M in the wet dose, a teaspoonful daily to help ladies who suffer from Osteo Arthritis together with Hypericum 200 also in the wet dose for the pain. The dosage for Hyp is every 4 hours. Many who were wedded to Vioxx and Diclofenac Sodium were successfully weaned off their drugs and converted to these 2 remedies and the most amazing result was that many have been able to stop their drugs and remedies completely as the homeopathic remedies seemed to cure them.

Good to have you visiting the forum as we all try to help those who post here in the hope of a cure which other classical homeopaths may not have been successful in giving them.

No need to try Rhus Tox 1M now.It may be needed only if pain remains in the neck muscles even after trying Arnica. As you may know, Rhus Tox has a great affinity for muscles and specially useful if the pain reduces after getting warmed up.

Bellis Perennis is another great injury remedy.Great homeopaths like Nash, Clarke etc. have called it a deeper Arnica. Even this may be tried later. The idea here is that homeopathy has great options for troubles related to injuries.

Yes Joe. It is team work here.Kudos to you for your love for life and compassion for others.I am a great fan of yours.

Cheers and all the best.

Thank you all for all the great advice. I just ordered Arnica 30c and it should be here my monday. Im new to homepathic remdies and after not getting any results from traditional medince, Im really looking forward to be working with homepathic redmies. My headaches are not your normal headaches. They are specific to the left back of my head where I hit myself in the fall. As soon as I wake up they start within an hour. It feels like building up of pressure in that area and neck down. I constaly have to keep craking my neck to reduce the pressure. And the headaches almost always there in back of my head and gets severe few times of the day especially under stress.

Thank you again for all the help and please inform me if there is anything else i should do.

Does your headache start with some tenderness in the 2 muscles located under your head between your head and your shoulder ? I believe that it is called the Sterno Mastoid but cannot be sure as my memory is not as good as it was years ago.

Some headaches start with tenderness in this muscle and spread upwards and inside the skull. This is because there is a nerve in this muscle that is connected directly to a part of the brain and if this is the source of your pain, we can think of another remedy.

The headaces start right on the top left backside of the head where the intial injury occured. The area starts to become more senstive as it starts and pain develops quickly. The the headache sometimes spreads downward in left back of my head and towards my neck. By this time im usally cracking my neck to the right to relive some pain and pressure. Every time I crack my neck to the right I hear a cracking noise and if i do it the other way to left there is nothing cracking. My neck is OK for now but my left back side of my head is where the constant pain stays onece it begins. I do feel some neck pain below that same area but is not that severe. My headaces are main issue and it is becoming harder and harder to deal with them everyday.

I hope Im as clear as possible, thank you very much for all the time and effort put towards helping others.

Thank you for the data.

Your headaches are not due to the causative factor that I had in mind.

This is the problem of treating on the web and the nearest I can think of right now is the Arnica which you state you have not used up to now.

Let us hope that it will.
