How to take remedies

Is it necessary to take homoeopathic medicine drops in water? Can drops be taken directly on tongue? I have purchased Dr.Reckweg medicinal drops.Which way effectivness will be high taking in water or directly on the tongue? I have doubt that water is passed through chlorination process or sometimes it may contain bacteria or other foreign bodies which will have impact on homoeopathic drops?Kindly suggest best method of taking drops?

I am trying to find out how to take homeopathic remedies properly. What am I supposed to avoid while taking them like coffee, mint, etc. Can I take ginger, cloves, licorice? What are the proper instructions while taking them? Thank you for any info. Joanie

I have been actively involved in Homeopathy for over 30 years and used the dry dose which I used to make by putting a few drops on Lactose pellets which are also available from all Homeopathic pharmacies.

I have recently been converted to the Wet Dose method where 1 drop of the remedy or 3 pellets are dropped into a half liter bottle of water from which about 100ml is decanted. This water is succussed by banging on the open palm or on a cushion so that the water fizzles and thereby increases the potency of the remedy every so slightly and rendering it far more potent in its curative effect than it is by just taking the dry pellet under the tongue.

This procedure seems irrational but believe me it really works !

is it ok to take two types of homeopathic at the same time?

Sanjay, you can take the remedy in a tablespoon of water because the drops taken directly sometimes are a bit strong on the tongue. OR you can use the method Joe describes. Use pure water - boil and cool.
jlwuester, avoid mint and any strong-tasting/smelling stuff when taking homeopathic remedies. Apart from that, keep a gap between eating / drinking anything and taking your doses - and mind yourtoothpaste too. A lot of homeopaths don't allow coffee at all, but some of us feel its okay as long as you aren't susceptible.
cintia, as a general rule no - but it depends on what you're taking and why.

jlwuester,

I am following Pankaj Varma's directions.

I take nothing half hour before and after the med. I do not even brush. (no flossing either) I do not drink water for half hr after taking the meds. I keep the pellets under the tongue until they disappear. It takes aroung 5-7 minutes.

I completely stopped taking coffee (or any caffeinated stuff). No garlic. Anything that affects our brain in any way should not be taken.

Thanks
