Phosphorus?

HI!

People who can't watch other people embarrass themselves, for instance on television(they have to switch channels, because they get a knot in their stomach) is that phos like?

If you try to view this 'à la Sankaran' this person has a mix of two symptoms: sympathy for others and he has something with honour/embarrassment.

If I combine the rubrics 'sympathy' and 'ailments from embarrassment' the only remedy in both is Ign. When 'sympathy' and 'ailments from wounded honour' are combined: Ign, Nat.m and Nux-v

But that physical empathic reaction sounds very Phos. like...

What remedy(ies)do you think of when reading this symptom?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Gosh! I suppose it would depend on what other symptoms that person may have alongwith this particular symptom?

I'm not asking to base THE remedy on this symptom. Just wondering what group of remedies have this symptom...

Maybe someone has seen this particular symptom in a or more cases...

I've thought about it and it probably isn't a phos symptom. Phos feels the feelings of the person in question. BUT in this case the observer would still feel embarrassed EVEN if the person he's observing IS NOT.

So that's something different.

So I think it is an Ign/Nux-v/Nat-m symptom. And in this particular case a Nat-m one.

Hi JMalik,

I will keep you posted on this.

So glad my post was useful to someone else! I sometimes think that I'm trying to dig out symptoms no one else has or is concerned with (look at the replies I got ;-)

So it's often me talking to myself hihi, stating my thoughts out loud...

But you also feel embarrased when the person you watch IS NOT? Cause that's important with this I think....

I don't think it's THE symptom to confirm your prescription on...So try to really get the Nat-M picture in general....

The being stuck in grief, not wanting consolation (or a little from certain people), av/des salt, recalling old grievances. Love of music, which is often used to call up/keep up the state of sadness. Seaside agg/ amel. etc.

But you should look very critical at your symptoms and then look at the list stated above and description in several MM and then make a decision and not the other way around.

But I think you already have a list of symptoms seeing you already repertorised your case. Did Nat-M come up when repertorising your (physical) symptoms?

What I mean is that it's very hard when looking at you own case to be objective enough, because you already know some hom symptoms of a remedy...

It's tempting to try and fit a remedy into YOUR picture (as I often get the idea is happening here) in stead of looking at YOUR picture and symptoms and THEN look at the remedy...

Well I hope you understand what I mean and my post has been useful again ;-)
