THROAT

Throat

Inflammation of the throat, with a sensation as if something were sticking in it, with stitches,

Much hawking of mucus,

Much mucus constantly passes from the posterior nares,

Sensation of dryness in the throat and posterior nares,

Sensation of dryness in the throat, when swallowing,

Sensation of roughness in the back part of the throat (after three days),

Sensation of coldness in the lower portion of the throat,

Sensation of constriction and internal swelling of the throat,

Pressive pain in the throat (after six days),

Violent pressive pain in the muscles of the throat, on the right side,

Scratching in the throat,

Pressive tearing in the muscles of the throat,

Sore throat, as from swelling on the palate, with painful swallowing, for four days,

Sore pain in the throat, when eating,

Scraping in the throat,

Scraping in the throat (after three days),

Scraping in the throat, in the evening and morning, which provokes a dry cough,

Severe scraping and crawling in the throat and fauces, soon transiently relieved by hawking,

Scraping and rawness in the throat, for several days,

Scraping in the throat, with some cough, which causes lachrymation, particularly of the left eye,

Severe crawling in the throat, only transiently relieved by hawking, with much accumulation of saliva,

Sticking-itching in the throat and neck, with red spots in it (after thirty-eight hours),

Uvula.

Inflammation and swelling of the uvula, with sticking in the throat,

Fauces and Pharynx.

Much tenacious mucus in the fauces, which he was obliged to raise,

Much of an unpleasant taste and odor in the fauces,

Burning in the upper part of the fauces,

Burning in the fauces and back part of the throat, as in coryza (after ten hours),

Contracting sensation deep in the pharynx,

Pressive pain in the fauces, just behind the palate,

Tearing pressure in the back part of the fauces, and in the left side of the root of the tongue,

Frequent biting and burning in the fauces and palate,

Biting posteriorly in the fauces, as in the commencement of coryza, though a more acrid biting,

Swallowing, coughing, or blowing the nose causes pain in the fauces and posterior nares, as if sore,

Painful hiccough in the pharynx, after eating,

Frequent sensation in the forenoon, as if something hot and sharp arose along the pharynx,

Sensation in the pharynx as if it were contracted or drawn together,

Pressure in the pharynx, when not swallowing, as if it were contracted or constricted,

A kind of pressure and fulness in the pharynx, extending into the stomach, almost like heartburn,

Swallowing.

Painless impediment when swallowing; the saliva that was swallowed passed down only gradually,

The food cannot be easily swallowed; the throat seems constricted with spasms, though without pain,

External Throat.

Great swelling of the parotid gland, as far as the angle of the jaw,

Throat slightly sore (second day),

Soreness in throat, with tickling (eighth day),

Pain in throat when swallowing,

Raw feeling in posterior nares (thirteenth day),

Burning of fauces, with desire to cough (sixth day),

Difficult deglutition,
