Below are the main rubriks (i.e strongest indications or symptoms) of Crotalus Horridus in traditional homeopathic usage, not approved by the FDA.
Compare also Tarentula Hispanica Tarent. cub, Arsenicum Album Arsen., Laurocerasus Lauroc. (tetanus, whooping-cough), Apis Mel Apis, Carb. veg., Silica Marina Silic. (vaccination), Camphora Camphor. (in coldness; probably Crotalus Cascavella Crotal. has more marked genuine collapse, with confused speech, etc.).
Very similar are Lachesis Laches., Naja Tripudia Naja and Elaps Corallinus Elaps.; distinctions, therefore, are mainly relative. Crotalus Cascavella Crotal. is preferable in fluid hemorrhages, yellow skin (hence in yellow fever with black vomit, etc.), epistaxis of diphtheria. Naja Tripudia Naja has more nervous phenomena. Lachesis Laches. has skin cold and clammy, rather than cold and dry; hemorrhages with charred straw sediment and more preferable in otorrhoea, and in affections of the right lung. The cobra-poison coagulates blood into long strings.
The Crotalus Cascavella Crotal. poison is acid; the Viper natural. The "Rattle-Bothrops Lanceolatus Snake" causes more sloughing than any other.
Effects modified by Ammon., Camphora Camphor., Opium, Coffea Tosta Coffea, Alcohol, radiated heat.
