Face

Objective.

Expression of uneasiness (0.12 grains),

Countenance anxious,

General appearance anaemic,

Yellow color of the face (tenth day),

Face yellow and earthy,

Ashy gray color of the face (fourth day),

Face pale, ; (after half an hour), ; (0.12 grains),

Complexion before ruddy and fresh, now pale and yellowish,

Color of the face pale, sickly, with sunken eyes (fifth day),

Great paleness of the face (third day),

Face very pale and cadaverous, and covered with cold sweat,

Swelling of the face (in some cases),

Peculiar tension of the muscles of the face, which makes the features rigid, a very sickly expression (one hundred and twenty-first day),

Face drawn, pale, and covered with cold clammy sweat (after one hour and a half),

Subjective.

Indefinite painful sensation in the right side of the face, especially in the zygoma and towards the ear (after one hour, second day); returned, but in the left side (tenth day),

Tension in the facial muscles (thirty-third day),

Aching like a bruised pain in the bones of the face, especially on the facial surface of both superior maxillary bones (ninety-ninth day),

(Felt and heard in left face and left neck a twanging like wires; this lasted forty-five minutes (after about an hour); then burning (subjective and objective) in entire left head and face, which relieved the twanging; the burning lasted fifteen minutes, and then all the symptoms went away),

Drawing pain in the bones of the face and of the right hand, in the morning (thirty-sixth day),

Dull pressure in the bones of the face, especially in the infraorbital region and in the nasal bones (fifty-seventh day),

Tearing in the bones of the face, at times during the day (eighty-fourth day),

Tearing in the left side of the face (fifteenth day),

Sensitiveness in the bones of the face (twenty-seventh day),

Cheeks.

Cheeks flushed,

Swelling of the right cheek, especially over the malar bone (zygoma?),

Pain in cheek-bone, in the evening (20 drops, second day),

Sore burning in the fossa, between the right wing of the nose and the cheek, lasting half an hour (fifty-second day),

Tension and drawing in the masseter muscles, and great accumulation of saliva in the mouth (seventy-first day),

Drawing in the zygoma and in the bones of the extremities (ninety-fifth day),

Feeling of pressure in the bones of the upper jaw, just below the orbits, after breakfast (twenty-third day),

Acute pain in the infraorbital portion of the malar bones (twenty-seventh day),

Violent sticking, extending through the right zygoma towards the forehead (sixty-fifth day),

Sensitiveness of the bones of the upper jaw, especially beneath the orbit (thirtieth day),

Lips.

That portion of the upper lip under the nose is swollen and sensitive, but not red, in the forenoon (one hundred and twelfth day),

The upper lip beneath the right nostril was swollen, red, and covered with small blisters (seventy-ninth day),

Ulcerations, with indurated edges, and smarting pain on the mucous surface of both lips,

Burning in the lips (one hundred and fourteenth day),

Burning in the upper lip beneath the nostrils (seventieth day),

Burning on the inner surface of the upper lip (thirty-sixth day),

Smoking burns the lips, which are dry and tense (eighty-fourth day),

Chin.

Swelling of the left ramus of the jaw, a tense circumscribed elevation beneath the periosteum as large as a small Juglans Regia ^walnut (second day),

Boring pain in the left side of the lower jaw, in the evening,

Constant boring pain in the left side of the lower jaw, with some remissions,

Burrowing in the rami of the lower jaw (first day),

Drawing in the lower jaw starting from the ear, with accumulation of saliva in the mouth (ninety-ninth day),

Stitches in left submaxillary bones towards the ear,
