Kali Permanganicum > compare
Compare Other oxydising salts, especially K. bi.; also Manganum Metallicum Mang., Causticum Caust., Kali Carb K. ca.; in oedematous uvula, Muriaticum Acidum Mur. ac., Apis Mel Apis.; in diphtheria, Diphth., Merc Viv Merc. cy., Ar. t., Kali Bich K. bi.., K. m.; in thick, ropy mucus, Kali Bich K. bi.. K. pm. antidotes Opium. A case of Opium poisoning is reported (H. W., xxxiii. 380), in which recovery took place after half an ounce of laudanum had been swallowed by mistake. Kali Phosphoricum Kali permang. in dilute solution (gr. ii. to the pint) was given repeatedly and acted promptly. Next day only dryness of mouth and throat was felt.

Antidoted by Nux Vomica Nux, Coffea Cruda Coff., Terebinthina Tereb.; Kali Phosphoricum Kali permang. well diluted and given freely (Dr. Antal). It antidotes Terebinthina Tereb., Rhus Venenata Rhus ven., Camphora Camph., Iodium Iod., Nat Mur Nat. m. (excessive use of salt), Petroleum Petrol.
