CHEST

Chest

Pains in the pectoral muscles, aggravated by inspiration,

Asthmatic attack of constriction in the chest, aggravated by moving and walking,

Drawing externally in the chest, while walking and on inspiration, together with some stitches,

Pressure upon the chest while walking,

Pressure in various places in the wall of the thorax, on the sides of the sternum,

Pressure in the right wall of the thorax in various places, frequently,

Pressure in the left wall of the thorax in the afternoon,

Pressure in the left clavicle,

Constant pressure on the chest while sitting, with pressure behind the seventh and eighth left costal cartilages,

Pressive sensation in the chest,

Sticking pains in various places in the right wall of the chest during the afternoon,

Stitches in the chest, in the morning,

Stitches in the right chest on inspiration in the morning,

Stitches, now and then, in the walls of the thorax, at the sides of the sternum, in the morning,

Stitches in the left lung, not aggravated by inspiration,

Stitches between the left lower ribs on inspiration,

Stitches in the right pectoral muscles on deep inspiration,

Violent stitches in the lower and anterior portion of the right chest, while walking, so that deep inspiration was impossible, lasting a few minutes,

Dull stitches in the last right true ribs,

Fine stitches in the left wall of the thorax, in the evening,

Hoarse, raw, scraping feeling in the chest (in the trachea), (after forty-eight hours),

Pain in the sternum,

Violent pains between the fourth and sixth costal cartilages, at the right margin of the sternum, deep internally, on waking while lying, aggravated by inspiration and by hard pressure; without cough,

Eating rapidly causes a constrictive pain in the sternum,

Pain in the sternum, as if the bones were painful; paroxysmal, like a digging rubbing, and scraping in it; without cough,

Pressure on the sternum, in bed, worse on moving about,

Dull pressure on the sternum,

A pushing pressure at the left margin of the sternum, between the third and fifth ribs, extending directly into the chest,

Dull pain as from a blow in and behind the sternum,

Drawing in the sides of the chest, especially on inspiration; together with some stitches,

Drawing and pressive pains in the muscles of both sides of the chest and in the lumbar vertebrae,

Pressure in the pectoral muscles of the right side extending into the upper arm,

Stitches in the walls of the thorax beneath the arms,

Tearing stitches in the side of the chest, above the pit of the stomach, on every motion of the arm, while sitting,

Pain externally in the right chest, as if some one pressed upon a sore spot, which was still more sore when touched,

Hard pressure from within outward, a hand's breadth beneath the right nipple, worse on inspiration; in the morning in bed (after forty-four hours),

Heart

A dull pressive pain deep in the region of the heart (this symptom similar to that in other muscles, may really have affected the heart),

Palpitation of the heart,

Respiration

On breathing, a pain in the chest, as if from something alive there,

Constriction in the chest, with cutting pain, as if the parts in the middle of the chest were constricted with a string, which takes away the breath; the whole attack lasts only a few seconds in the afternoon,

Spasmodic cramplike pain beneath the short ribs and just above the hips, towards evening, so violent that he was obliged to cry out; it took away his breath and he was unable to rise from his chair alone, in the evening (after thirteen days),

Pressure in the upper part of the chest, impeding respiration,

Pressive sensation in the chest, causing difficult respiration,

Stitches in the wall of the chest, especially in the left side, not impeding respiration in the evening,

(Breath offensive),

More or less heavy breathing on waking from a sleep of two or three hours,

A spasmodic, double inspiration, with sobbing,

Respiration painful, impeded,

She cannot get her breath all day,

Dyspnoea, on ascending steps,

Dyspnoea and difficult inspiration, while sitting,

Dyspnoea, with difficult, rapid breathing, as from constriction of the chest; with constant soreness of the sternum (after one hour and a half),

Suffocating (first night),

On coughing, she holds her breath as if she would suffocate,

Bronchial asthma,

Larynx and Trachea.

Dull pressure on both sides of the larynx,

Stitches and tickling in the larynx,

Stitches in the larynx, which force tears into the eyes,

Scraping and tickling in the larynx, with much dry short cough, after which the tickling continues,

Crawling in the trachea, followed by rapid impeded respiration,

Cough and Expectoration.

Cough, without expectoration (after forty hours),

Cough, with purulent expectoration, only at night, or in the morning,

Expectoration of blood, with slight cough,

Profuse expectoration of blood, with violent cough,

Expectoration of bright-red blood on coughing,

When he expectorates he is always nauseated and qualmish,
