Chronic angina of the root of the palate, uvula, tonsils, and fauces,

Sensation as of a foreign body sticking in the throat, seeming to be dependent upon involuntary contraction of the muscles of the pharynx,

Soft palate, and especially the uvula, of a coppery-red color; on the left side, a long superficial ulcer,
