Objective.
Throat purple-red, rough, and pitted in places, and studded with little patches of points filled with mucus (twenty-first day),
A quantity of tough yellowish mucus occupying the posterior nares and upper of pharynx (twenty-third day),
Hawking up of a grayish, viscid, tenacious mucus, with rough feeling in throat (third day); roughness of throat; a tenacious white mucus causes considerable hawking to free the throat, in afternoon (twenty-sixth day),
Subjective.
Disposition to hawk frequently and clear the throat of a tenacious starchy-looking mucus (twelfth and thirteenth days),
Scraping and raw tickling sensation in throat (twenty-seventh day),
Smarting in posterior nares, in afternoon (twenty-sixth day),
Throat rough (twelfth day); throat rough, and clogged up with much mucus, difficult to dislodge, and of a dark-slate color (forty-ninth day),

The fauces feel dry on inspiration and on deglutition; the dryness is worse in the morning, and always after a cold,
