Dear lost_angel, a homeopath would never suggest a cream of any sort for a skin problem. If it is ON the skin, it is not IN the body. One of the first precepts of prescribing is to not drive something inside from the outside, but from the inside out.

Give it in the same way as I have suggested to you....in the other thread.
The eyelids could be red, itchy and inflammed....you already explained about the ears.
He has no problem with the kid sister.....its the problem with the light in the room....artificial light troubles a "Graphites patient". He could be asking her to switch the lights off each night. (making a guess !).

So I gave him the Graphities, it has been 3 days since we stopped. I can't see any differnce. His eczema is the same and he is still sensitive to small noises his sister makes. He has developed a cough. Do I wait longer? Where do we go from here?

About his cough, it is similar in sound to his sister's (seal barking) but he has a very different personallity. I menitoned that his sister continues on with her day as usual with same attitude as usual. He doesn't. He is very emotional, cries easily when sick or not feeling well. He is not running a fever but seems sick, dark under eyes, dry barking cough, coughs until it sounds like he will heave.
John you menitoned in my daughter's thread to give her Aconite, would this apply to our son or would you have a different remedy in mind for him because of his unique personality? (for all readers)

The cough itself is a result of the aggravation.
If I had suggested a more frequent dosage of Graphites, the boy would have got a more violent cough.
Just note down the symptoms in detail and post feed back.

No he has not been treated with allopathic medications in a long time. The last time was Sept of 2003 when I treated his ear infection with antibiotics.
No fever.
Emotional, cries easily.
Cough, sounds like barking, dry.
Worse at bedtime.
Dark under eyes after a day at school.
Seems fine this morning.
Says throat hurts. Better for drink. (room temperature is what they drink)

Forget to mention about the bowels.
For a couple of days he had a loose stool, had to run to the bath room when he came in from school. He never complained about pain, no fever.
Now he says his stool is fine, no diareeha, no constipation. But I noticed when walking by the bathroom yesterday after he had been in there that it smelled very strong (as it does during loose stool). He says he has no stomach pain.
Also, runny nose.
Interesting to mention is that the first symptom he usually has when he falls ill is a swollen neck (lymph glands) which he does not have this time. His neck is as slim as usual.

I only have Graphities 200c in the house, should I order 30c, last time you mentioned to give 200c, is this okay (just clearifying).
Yes I treated his ear infection in Sept 2003 with anti biotics and then regreted it because it came back in December 2003 worse along with sinus infection and strep throat at which time I treated him with Hepar Sulph. His symptoms where fever, very red ear (left side) sensitive to touch due to pain on the ear, much crying.

He also gets upset stomach with potateos??

He does not eat potatoes. He finds them disgusting. He looks like he will vomit if he has to try to swollen them.
His eczema did respond to the Hepar Sulph. His legs became clear as fast as his infection went away but after a short while it came back. I have given him Hepar Sulph several times since then when he was complaining about his ears and it did not respond to his eczema then.

So I gave him the Alumina 200c one dose morning one dose evening for one day last week. There is no difference in his skin yet.
One more symptom to note, he grinds his teeth while sleeping, my husband treid to get him to stop last night but said it didn't work. I am worried he will grind his teeth away. What can I give him?

Aconite is usually given only at the beginning of problems, not after several remedies.
I am thinking PULSATILLA 200X may be a good match, even though there is no mention of teeth grinding. I feel if he finally feels better the tension causing the teeth grinding will abate. Pulsatilla is for a more unhappy child with the cough and itching. (I really mean Pulsatilla. I made a mistake in typing wrong name on another post.)
Two doses per day for two days should show much improvement.
There are many remedies for the severe itch, but do not match your present sympom reports. MEZEREUM may be a later remedy as it has much skin problems and itching.

When he was a baby did you breast feed him or kept him on alternate means like powder milk etc. ??

Sabra i have been writing e-mails to you for almost 7 months and following your suggestions.
Sabra looking into this tiny boy's eczema i think my symptoms of eczema almost matches with his.
Eczema since 5 years.
Eczema on ankle and elbow joint and behind the calves.
These two portions according to a doctor with less blood ciruclation. Quite unusual, he says.

Scratch until it bleeds
Eczema seems to expand or enlarge to the adjoining areas.
