uvetis

hi one of my friend is suffering with uvetis, let me know whether there is any treatment to cure this.

Is it the eye disorder uveitis ?

yes it is related to eye.

If it is in both eyes , it will be good to find out why it came up. Sometimes it is an indication of a bigger internal disease, when Uveitis manifests itself in both eyes.

Any other health problems ?

And anyways the homeopaths would need a more holistic view of the patient . Look for one of the detailed questionares and post the filles questionare.

It is in both the eyes maximum in right eye. It started with iritation in eyes and it is increasing.No other health problems.

Since it can hurt the eyes extremely badly in a very short span of time, I would advise taking the steroid treatment known to cure this.

Prednisolone Acetate eye drops 4 times a day is what my doctor gave me when I got Uveitis.

yes he is using that medicine recomemded by doctor 4 times a day , but can it be cured completely

what can we do to completely cure this?

how far is this steroid treatment helpful? he is not able to see things clearly when using this drops so he is using reading glasses for that but it really painful to bear this?

Well , most of the people respond well to this treatment but the eye pressure needs to be monitored continuosly. Consult a good opthamologist. He can easily monitor the pressure while administering the eye drops.

In my case , the treatment has worked very well.

Note that for the intial part of the treatment , it is helpful to take dilation drops as well along with the steroids. They help calm the inflammation very well. Dilation drops are only needed 2 times a day.

However, dilation will affect the reading ability or the ability to see close things temporarily.

Doctor said that using steroids can cause some health problems like Bloodpressure ,sugar,gaining weight etc Is that true, will that be same for all, as of know he is not suffering with any of the above mentioned health problems. can u please suggest any good opthamologist.

I did not mean oral administration of steroids.
Steroid eye drops will not cause these side effects.

Is he taking the dilation drops too ? I took Atropine Sulfate as the dilation eye drops.

I am sorry but I cannot help you with advising a good opthamologist as I got my treatment done in USA.

I mean Prednisolone eye drops 4 times a day and atropine sulfate eye drops 2 times a day is the only treatment I took.
