Chronic Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis) Page 2 of 3

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
To Dan

The point you made of certain foods predisposing you to Eczema can be the root cause of your ailment. You have already experimented with various foods which you eliminated and discovered that they were indeed the causative factors and it is now in your hands to keep up this discipline to ensure that you keep out of trouble.

You can also use the Arnica therapy that I shall copy below from a previous post on this forum which can also help you as it has helped hundreds of other patients some of whom were desperate for a cure which had eluded the combined efforts of Allopathic physicians, Ayurvedic physicians and later Classical Homeopaths till they discovered that my Joepathy worked the miracle and that in a couple of days after they started on this therapy.

'I have had some success in the treatment of chronic Eczema with a remedy that I discovered was far superior to those listed in the standard Homeopathic Materia Medicas and Repertories for this common ailment which is usually very difficult to cure. This therapy can aptly be described as 'Joepathy'

The remedy that I prescribe today is Arnica 6c in the Wet dose. A capful of the remedy water is sipped both morning and evening and the remedy water is applied by wetting a cotton pad or the finger tips as often as is possible, directly on the lesions. Many who have used this simple remedy have reported that their itchy, messy Eczema which they suffered from for many years suddenly took a turn for the better in a very short space of time, usually on the third day, when the itchiness left them. They were cured in about a week. '

Please follow the instructions that I have given on making the Wet dose on:

http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/209116/

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
If this is not available the Dry dose in pellets may be use but this is not as effective as the remedy in the original Ethanol pack.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops or 5 pellets of the remedy into the bottle and shake it hard to produce bubbles. This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a capful of the bottle which is the dose is taken as directed.

One final point. Do you suffer from GERD or Hyperacidity? Do you experience any discomfort after a meal especially after dinner ? If so for how long have you suffered and what therapy have you followed?

Dear Pranjit

It is so unfortunate that you have been misguided with all sort of useless non-homeopathic advice.

Eczema is a deep miasmatic affectation and one needs proper treatment. Find a homeopath near you or find someone equipped to handle your case on this forum.

I will suggest requesting Sameer, Vikas, Rishimba or Kadwa. Joe's suggestion is not going to take you anywhere.

And Joe, 6 treated cases hold no statistical significance to say that you can treat eczema with it. Please stop further complicating cases already complicated. You are doing a great disservice to the patients by your method.

Regards
Niel

thank you for your reply every one, as I am really not sure what may help me I will have to further study any advice or remedy offered to me, I would surely prefer a homeopath with experience in treating patients with the exact the same problem as I am suffering from, extreme sensitivity to foods.
I barely can find any thing about it, seems like most AD sufferers that I read about are suffering because of other factors or maybe they are just unaware that food triggers it?

ECHINACEA ANGUSTIFOLIA remarkable medicine known as a 'corrector of blood dyscrasia' if this disease due to poisoning then it will work well. Hello All,

I have had atopic dermatitise all my life (I am 31 years old) and have found the following to help. However, there are many different types of eczema.

Atopic dermatitise is a genetic condition caused by the bodies inability to break down essential fatty acids.
With this condition, the skin remains dry constantly and will need continual moisturising to keep it moist. Also, humidifies help a lot. Something I discovered after Dermatologist prescribed many different strength cortisone creams was that when first coming off the creams I would get very bad flare ups. That is because the body goes into a sort of shock and withdrawal phase. This lasted for a month but after a couple of months my skin was a lot better. This can be a very difficult time but its worth it in the long run! Also, you will probably find your eczema will flare up during the morning. That is because cortisone levels (stresss hormone) are highest in the morning. I have tryed to curb my morning flare ups by playing calming music, moving slowly and breathing in calming aromatherapy like lavendar etc. Keep lighting low. Also keep a food diary and note the times the skin gets bad. What did you eat? How where you feeling? What where your thinking about? Emotional states of well being can play a big part in triggering eczema attacks. I have also found that by eating organic, whole foods based diet I get fewer flare ups. I found eating food that have been sprayed with pesticides would cause my lips to swell up and itch. I can eat the same foods when grown organically. You will probably notice a correlation between flare ups and digestion. By having a small breakfast of fruit will help minimise the cortisole response. Digestion puts stress on the body.

I have found the best creams for me to be creams free of alcohol and perfumes. Personally, I prefer creams with hemp seed oil in them. Also, I take flaxseed oil (essential fatty acids) to help keep my skin and hair from drying.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot for the replies guys it helps very much to read other people's experience with this awful chronic disease.
I am experimenting with foods at the moment and keeping a food diary which you can download from here http://www.foodcanmakeyouill.co.uk/ and print it out and turn it into a book. it helps me a lot to eliminate suspicious foods.
First time in my life I am taking control of this disease and living on rice and green veggies and fish for a month now until I find more foods I can have safely and I must say the results are very noticeable, my skin gets a lot better and at times when I am totally clean it gets it's natural oiliness back, and I look so good that I don't even recognize myself, it's totally crazy I got so used to look red and swollen that I have barely remember my self in my clean natural look!! though because I am still experimenting with foods I get flares back but I control it with cortisone cream which I try to use maybe once in a week or once in two weeks.

This is a big step forward for me as I am totally changing my life my diet and habits, because I understand that there is no other way, it's either I keep living as I had before and my health will just get worse,or I start living a with a whole new diet which I must say keeps me away from junk food of any sort which is an amazing thing!! I feel so much better since I started eating more naturally and healthy it's just amazing.

my eye sight has been damaged from AD, I suspect that because of the flare ups I get around my eyes and face my eyes were very dry and did not create enough natural eye drops and by the years my eyes got damaged from dryness I am quite sensitive to strong light right now and will see an eye doctor soon.

This is a very agonizing and serious disease, and I think people that have it need to have more awareness about it and to treat the real causes and roots of the problem and not just put steroid cream and hope for the best.

one day when I will gain control back of my life and become healthy again I will make a website about Atopic dermatitis and my experience with it since childhood, I hope it will bring some hope and help others who struggle with it and have no idea where to go and who to talk to or have the money for all the expensive unconventional doctors that I have paid for and I must say it helped me a lot.

If any one have any other suggestions on how to make my body less sensitive to foods as it used to be years ago I will really appreciate it.

lose no hope brothers and sisters the answers are out there we just have to find them.

Love
Danny

To Dan,

Awesome, dude. I too have found that my atopic dermatitis condition is directly related to my diet, but I love junk food way too much to quit~ I'm glad you've been able to break out of the shell, though. Have you found any other foods that were appropriate beside veggies/fish? I despise both -.- Keep fighting this bastard illness it's us verse the pathological world! :D

Hi there!

As I have the same problem, I would like to recommend you the following blog. It is written by one patient who has been suffering from atopic eczema for 25 years, has tried thousands of treatments and now he is in a good condition.

You can find here many useful informations, even how to shower and bath yourself, sth about sunbeds, vaccines, creams, unusual treatments and others.. The best thing on it is, that there are no commercials, so it is based on true and real life. So take a look and good luck :)

I noticed that this thread dates back to 2004 and has been commented on by a few classical homeopaths all of whom have spread the bad news that Eczema is not curable.

I have proved otherwise and shall share my default therapy which has CURED many patients in a very short time. The difference can be noticed in about 3 days when the skin stops itching and is usually cured in a week.

I would appreciate if anyone reading my post will record how my therapy helped on this same thread.

The remedy for all forms of Eczema is Arnica 6c in the Wet dose which is made up as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid Dilution in Alcohol in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake it hard to produce bubbles. This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a capful of the bottle which is the dose is taken as directed.

Take a capful of the remedy water twice daily (orally) and also apply the water on your lesions as often as possible.

You should observe some improvement in your condition on about the third day into this therapy.

Please report your response on the third day.

It is understood that you will not take any other drug while using the Arnica therapy.

Hi Guys
It's been more then two years since I post I thought I'll update on what I found out to help me to improve my condition.

Elliminating foods is always top priority as AD is an immune response to what we put in our body either food/water/air in my case it is completely related with food.

Anyway I went to A naturopath and she diagnosed me with dehydration so she recommended me to start using a hydrogen stick in my water to alkalize the water and hydrate my body back and it worked it improved my AD significantly to an extent I can live normally again. you can read about it at Hydrogenfriends.com and you can get the stick from their website or amazon.
I also take supplements such as JuicePlus, probiotics, Omega3 fish oils, and a medical food solution which has many minerals and vitamins and I drink it daily.
Our body is responding to what we put in it because there is an imbalance in our system so we need to bring our system back to balance and it takes months and even years, thats the difference between conventional medicine which give you relief for the short term but for the long term you need to look into natural and alternative ways of improving your situation.

'Joe De Livera' I will look into your suggestion, thanks a lot.

If you have any questions I am glad to answer

Thanks, God bless!

Hello, this is my first post. It's actually a question I'd like to direct at Joe. :)

Joe, I have been reading about homeopathic remedies for eczema all day and your advice is the one constant. I decided to buy some arnica but all I could find were the pills and a 'liquid herbal extract'. I passed on the pills so I bought the extract, just in case I could use it topically. Which it seems like I probably shouldn't as it's very strong. This is for my 12 year old son. He has eczema on his arms. I tried the crap the pediatrician gave him but it turned patches of his skin white, which is why I'm here.

My question is: can I use the herbal extract in the manner you describe as the wet dose? I'm guessing no. This stuff I have contains organic grain alcohol. Is that the same thing as ethanol?

Thanks for your help, sir!!

Cindy

Hi- I am not 'joe' but no you cannot use an herbal extract.

It is not the same thing as a homeopathic medicine at all.

Where Joe is in Sri Lanka and also India - pakistan it is
easy to get the liquids. You can order the right potency
of Arnica off this site- see remedies store on top of forum
page. order the liquid 6c Arnica Joe is prescribing for
this but you make the dose as he says and then keep the bottle and make a new
one if you run out.

If the Arnica does not work, you can see a local homeopath
for treatment and pick one who has 5 yrs of experience and
has 'cured' cases of eczema. It is important to have
someone with experience as they will know not to pick
too high of potency which can make cure more uncomfortable
than it needs to be.

You also have options of contacting other prescribers on here,
you can click their names and go thru posts seeing eczema
cases.

Definitely!

I actually have another question that maybe you can answer? I read that the herbal extract is too strong to take internally? And externally may cause rash and the very condition I'm hoping to improve in my son - eczema. Why does the label of this stuff I bought say to take 5 to 10 drops in a glass of water 1 to 3 times daily? Isn't that...dangerous??

Thanks again, Simone!

Dear Joe,
In this post the remedy Arnica 6C and Petroleum 6C that you have mentioned, that its water can be applied directly on the skin affected by eczema. can this be done on mild kind of eczemas too?? also would be effective to soothe the itching even if its not taken through mouth for some reason? please guide... my daughter has eczema. i am looking for something that can be applied to give relief from itching.

nefertiti last decade
i Serum,

I have no idea what the brand is and what is actually
in it? I always research all those things and reviews
and what happened to actual users. I learned my lesson
after a health store person told me to take some
grapefruit seed extract herb pills. Directions said take 2 to 4 pills a day. I took 2 pills only and my stomach hurt for
two weeks.

This is why homeopathy prescriptions are good bc they
are to kick start the vital force of your own to do the
clearing out and anything from 12x potency on has only
the molecular imprint of the substance.

simone717 last decade
Simone,

Yeah, that's why I'm apprehensive. I'm not giving this stuff to my son. I'll stick with the homeopathic variety. The extract is made by Herb Pharm. Here's a link:

Hi nerfertiti,

don't know what joe will say about that, but I remember
another older post on here, which told a person taking
remedy for eczema , that while remedy was working
internally , that you could make chamomille tea and
then use a cloth to dab the tea on skin to soothe it - put
on skin and let it dry.
Also google oatmeal baths which soothe the skin.

Hi- yes on bottle saying irritation in throat , stomach etc ??? stop
using it??? Red flag.

arnica-treatment " rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://www.livestrong.com/article/111961-arnica-treatment

says only use homeopathic arnica- orally- other uses are dangerous - and
has guidelines for use.
