there is nothing as a suppliment... but if you are not able to absorb calcium from your diet, you can either take calc phos or calc carb in very low potencies or as biochemic salts based on your symptoms.

Dear Dr. Rishimba,
I would like to know your professional thought on the following problem of my son who is now 5.5 months old.
Since 2 nights ago all of a sudden he refuses to sleep in his bed. As a matter of fact he woke up crying, we took him out of his bed, I fed him and then he didn’t sleep in his bed since then. He sleeps in our bed. If I force him to sleep in his bed he would cry like crazy (even during the day time) and then I have to hug him for a while to calm him down. I tried to put him in his bed during the day while he is awake but he won’t stay in his bed for too long. He used to stay in there and play with attached stuff. Even though he sleeps in our bed he doesn’t sleep very well. He moves a lot. He usually sleeps like child pose in yoga. You know on his tummy with knees drawn into tummy and hands under his chest. He is very flatulent at night sometimes during the day. Partly the flatulence depends on my diet (when I eat cabbage, lentil, beans, …) but sometimes even if I watch my diet he still is flatulent. His stool is ok but he has to strain even though he is not constipated. The only thing about his stool is that it is like two separate parts water and the rest of it.
I have started solid food for him since 4 weeks ago. Started with rice cereal, he didn’t take it well. Every time he brings it up. So I cook rice and vegetables for him and he takes it well. I also give him cooked fruits once or twice per day. I still feed him every 3 -4 hours (more towards 3). He is very active during the day and tracks every sound and movements as if he wants to know about everything. He can crawl completely. He is happy as long as I don’t put him in sleep. I am a little bit worried about him because he doesn’t sleep well. What do you suggest me to do? If you need more info about him please let me know.
As always thank you for your time.
Best regards,
beth

try either chamomilla 12c one dose or pulsatilla 12c one dose, but not both.

see which one has a positive effect on his sleep.

the one which works can be given to him infrequently.

Dear Beth2006

I’ve read through your post regarding son’s ailments, and maybe you have read some of my postings regarding sickness and health especially about birth stress, however, I have come to the conclusion that your son has a birth stress and to pin point a treatment I would like to know some more from you.
You can find my email address under my profile, then contact me, and I will forward you some questions.

“A child comes to this world through his parents, and with a good reason. Parents are already adapted to the physical world and, as such are obliged to teach the child, so that he too can adapt properly, remaining true to himself in every situation in life.

The child’s relation as well his health with its mother and father are determined by the nature of the relationship with its parents, and that of his grandparents.
The foetal period of your son can be compared to a folding screen, where the foetal period is symbolized by the folded state of the screen and the rest of life, by the screen as it is spread out. All that happens during the time the baby spends in the womb – the folded up state – will manifest itself during its lifetime, which it does right now. The spirit of a child stands between its mother and father. All that the father thinks, of the mother and in life in general, as well as all that the mother thinks of the father and life in general passes through the child as through a thin sheet of paper, leaving holes – and stresses – in the child’s soul.
All the happiness and sorrow coming into the pregnant woman’s life must be explained to the baby. Each negativity presses down on the body as does any other load. When you are angry inside while breastfeeding your son, then the milk he receives is angry, no child likes to keep angry milk inside.
To further expand on the topic of birth stress, I would like to explain a certain pathology, increasingly common in recent years.

Dear Beth there are and more children suffering from recurring diseases of the respiratory tract, culminating in asthma. A lot of children complain of frequent stomach-aches, they have no appetite, their growth slows down and their pale skin is often explained in a way as a naturally fair complexion. The child may stop eating in the middle of a meal declaring that he is so full he can’t manage another spoonful. He is often struck by strange bouts of tiredness and may faint if he can’t lie down at once. The child is nervous, and sometimes apathetic. Stubborn allergies and skin-diseases frequently appear, and in spite of extreme restrictions and all the mother’s care and worry, they won’t clear up. The mother usually ends up disappointed with medicine altogether.
These symptoms may appear in different combinations, clearing up
From time to time and suddenly making their appearance again without any apparent reason”.

Awaiting your reply

dear beth, for infants some remedies are very much effective during digestive troubles..

you need to state what exactly are the digestive symptoms..

is it constipation, or loose motion, stomach bloating, pain or vomitting etc..

rishimba last decade
pulsatilla will take care his flatulance problems as well.

try it.

rishimba last decade
Ok, I’ll try pulsatilla. I have to order it. Actually that is why I am asking for other remedies at this time. I may not use them but I need to know so I can order them for future.
I appreciate if you can advise the remedy(ies) for the following issues:

- I guess he has a weak digestive system in general. Right now my main concern is that it seems he doesn’t digest food very well. Because I can see undigested milk curds in his stool and undigested solid food whenever I give him solid food. In addition to this since about 3 or 4 days ago he strains a lot for pooping but usually no result, then at this point he becomes angry and pushes more and then he cries and kicks. Even if I hold him as if he is in potty it won’t help. This especially happens at night. When he releases gas a little bit of stool is coming out as well. He is not constipated but for some reason he cannot poop easily since 3-4 days ago. His stool is loose and if he eats vegetables the stool becomes watery. The last but not the least is that he poops 3-4 times per 24. from what I heard it should once per day by now and should be like adult stool which his is not at all.

- We are going on a trip in less than a month. It is going to be a very long flight. First 11 hours and then 5 hours plus 7 hours of stopover. Is there anything I can use for him if air pressure in the plane makes him nervous or hurt his ears?

- Is there anything for jet lag? There is going to be 12 hours time difference when we get to our destination.

- Do you recommend any tissue salt for him?

Thank you very much.

please get NUX VOM 30C for him alsong with PULSATILLA 30C.

give him NUX two doses at 2 hours gap on a single day whenever he suffers from indigestion problems.

you can repeat nux after three to four days if you see that the symptoms return.

rishimba last decade
Dear Rishimba
I realized that if I stop solid food he won't have straining problem and he won't wake up at night screaming and kicking. so should I give him nux vom 30 or puls 12? he is still gasy though.
thanks

beth2006 last decade
what mother exact current state of health? child total breast fed?

John Stanton last decade
i believe he has already started taking baby foods, crushes cereals etc.

if his stomach problems seem predominant, please give him just one drop of NUX VOM 30C in some 10 ml water.

else, if his sleep problems are predominant, please give him one dose of PULSATILLA 30C.

wait and watch the results for next 2 to 3 days.

as john pointed out, your state of health is important for the child if he is on breast feed and your food habbits need to be simple.

I believe I am in a good health condition. I have a healthy diet and eat organic when possible. but recently I add things like cabbage, lentil, beans,.... to my diet and it seems that these make a lot of gas for him. as for the baby I stopped solid food and put him back on breast milk. and yes, he is exclusively breast fed. when I receive the remedies I will give him nux vom as recommended and then I will start solid food for him again. we'll see from there.

beth2006 last decade
Dear Rishimba,
I guess I made a mistake. Could you please kindly advise me what to do?

Yesterday I received the remedies and even though my son didn’t have any of digestive symptoms anymore I gave him nux as instructed. (FYI, I gave him thuja on feb 22 & 23 for his vaccination). Now, today he started spitting up again. I guess I shouldn’t give him nux when there were no more symptoms, right?

On the other hand he is teething since 2 days ago. He is good and seems that he doesn’t have any complain. He has a mouth ulcer inside his lower lip where he bites his lips with the tip of his new tooth. His gums are swollen in that area.

There is one more thing: when he was born he had a birth mark on his scalp (smooth skin, no hair). Now part of skin of that birth mark has changed to a dry, scaly skin and it is bumpy and kind of rough. I took him to a dermatologist and she diagnosed it as venus sebaceous. He also gets tiny red spots on his face (more towards his ears) from time to time, maybe eczema.

In the meantime I am going to take one dose of sepia 200c for myself. Please let me know if I should postpone it.

Thank you for your time and help.

beth2006 last decade
if there are no digestive symptoms, please dont give any remedies.

you can take a dose of sepia if you need to.

regarding his skin symptoms, i think you should wait and see if the tiny spots are clearing out by themselves or not.

if the rashes persist for long, you can take measures in his food intake to minimise the symptoms. i have seen that such skin symtptoms will gradually get cured.

Dear Rishimba,
Understood. One more question though: do you recommend following tissue salts for him? (for his teething)
Calc phos 6x
Calc flour 6x
One tab from each per day. Until he gets these 2 teeth out completely.

Dear John,
I haven’t done anything for his skin. As a matter of fact I use natural and organic products for him. Even his clothes were organic for the first 3 months of his life. Interesting question. I have to observe him for a while. But one thing for sure is that whenever my husband has a little bit of beard and kisses him, the beard irritates him and he will get these red Dotson his face.

Thank you.

beth2006 last decade
yes, these tissue salts are especially to facilitate proper teething.

you can give these tissue salts for some weeks.
