Baby has Runny Poopies and Red Butt!
1 year old with stools that started soft, but are now very runny and yellowish.Possibly from Soy and Rice Milk, as I recently weaned from breast milk. Could also be from lots of fruit.
Causing bright red butt from acid in stool, painful, baby cries when diaper changed and I have to use baby wipe.
Have switched to goats milk (only 1 day), but stool still very runny this morning.
Remedies tried: Arsenicum, belladonna (redness in bum, possible ear ache, pulling in ear, woke from nap with red cheeks), gave Cal Carb this morning (constitutional remedy-only had 30c, gave 3 dry).
Any other suggestions?

If condition started after using soy, then calc is right remedy.
better to give calc-phos.balance calc/phos in child good for dentition also.
1 Dose CALC- PHOS 200c (do not repeat dose).
Goats milk Ok ;unhomogenized better; but may have to water down--due to high phos content--use cooled boiled pure water-tap may have unwanted metals.NO COW'S MILK.
What vaccinations child havve?

another choice is sulfur 30 C. give up to 3 doses.
Look it up the materia medica. I recall it includes sore, red orifices.

I assume you mean the anal orifice when you say red butt. If not then maybe not sulfur.

Diarrhoea
Potentially serious in very young babies as it quickly leads to dehydration. Diarrhoea is one of symptoms of Gastroenteritis (fever of 38°C [100°F] or more, with or without Vomiting, lack of enthusiasm for feeds, torpor); if gastroenteritis is suspected, or if stools are mixed with blood, or if diarrhoea persists for longer than 12 hours, call your GP. In meantime, give frequent sips of water to prevent dehydration and select a remedy from the Self Help / Remedies section.
Occasionally diarrhoea in infants is caused by too much sugar (too little water added to fruit juices or too much sugar added to fruit purees, for example); some drugs are also given in a very sugary base. Gripe water can also cause diarrhoea. Liquid stools in a baby who has just been weaned usually indicate that he or she is still unable to cope with solids; wait 2-3 weeks, then reintroduce them. Occasionally diarrhoea is due to too early reintroduction of milk after am attack of Gastroenteritis.
Specific remedies to be given every hour for up to 10 doses
Diarrhoea comes on after exposure to cold wind Aconite 30c
Diarrhoea brought on by food which has gone off slightly, or diarrhoea which gets worse when baby is given cold food or drinks, with baby exhausted, breathless, and emaciated Arsenicum 30c
Diarrhoea associated with teething, greenish stools, baby irritable and difficult to please Chamomilla 30c
Diarrhoea associated with colic Colocynth 30c
Diarrhoea caused by over-feeding Nux 30c
Baby passes watery stools after eating or drinking, and even during washing Podophyllum 30c
Diarrhoea caused by sour fruit or by drinking cold drinks when overheated, slightest movement makes diarrhoea worse Bryonia 30c

other tips: boil rice in water until the rice is tender and give him to drink just the water from the rice. Ii is very healthy and its fixing the diarrhoea.
Or give him mint tea, but from the natural plant. you can buy the mint from any supermarket.

GABITUCA ....appreciate your summarised guidance.
One medicine that is specific for:
BABIES
FIERY RED RASH around anus in babies is .....MEDORRHINUM.
Just one dose in 1M potency is sufficient.
If required to repeat, do it only after two weeks .... minimum.
It is a long acting and deep acting medicine.
GROWN UPS
This medicine is useful for grown ups as well.... in case of >>>> Hair dry, crispy, itching scalp with dandruff.
When there are also breathing difficulties.
Another indication is that the person sleeps in knee-chest position.

oone year , read cheeks, diarreah... sounds like teething to me. Are you sure it's from weaning or earache???
weaning always is a big change on the system if you don't do it slow. fruits are the worst for runny poop because of the acid. besides banana and apple. however, i would first check the teeth :-)
