Petroleum and Rhus Tox for Herpes

About 4.5 yrs ago, I suffered from an incredible, crawling, itching in my groin area. It happened right after I slept with my girlfriend (at the time) during a very humid summer, soon after I got my first genital herpes outbreak. I have had only a few recurrences of Genital Herpes, but the itching is still active. At first, I thought a fungal or bacterial infection provoked the herpes outbreak, and I tried antifungals, steroid creams, and antibiotic creams. The itching continued. I learned to live with the tingly, crawling itch for several years now (4.5 yrs). I was surfing the web for a homeopathic option and read about Petroleum. I started taking Petroleum 12x (3 times/day. On 11/17/07 the itching has almost stopped. The itching was particularly active during the summer season, and it's now heading into winter where I'm at...perhaps the cool weather has helped. Also, I purchased 12x Rhus Tox, but haven't taken it yet. I'm in Day 3 of taking Petroleum, how many more days do I need to take it?
