sliced finger

A patient sliced and tore his middle finger at work. He stuck it in a machine and the upper third was cut and torn 33% off so he needed to get stitches in the hospital and also got a tetanus shot there. Naturally the finger was in great pain after. He received calendula 6 drops in an ounce of water and stirred, which did not do anything really and later on he complained about shooting pain in the finger - hypericum 200. Not much relieve either.
Now, almost 24 hours later the finger is still in severe pain , though slightly better, but still throbbing badly.
atient is to be known drinking every night (6-10 hard drinks), smoking and likes spicy food. Also works in an environment with lots of chemical fumes.
I wonder, if here a dose of sulfuer is a good idea?
Patients konstitution remedy is nux-vomica, but so far never did anything great, as well as most acute remedys so far almost always fail or only relieve a little bit.
What do you think? sulf or nux to try to get rid of blockage?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
LEDUM 200 and

RUTA GRAVEOLENS 200 !

Alternate every half hour until pain subsides....then increase the gap between the doses gradually.
