Female Hormone Imbalance???

Hi, I am a 26 year old female. During my pre child-bearing days, I always had irregular cycles, sometimes 4 or 5 months apart. When I did have them, they would be a normal 5 day cycle. After I married and was trying to conceive, it took me a year to conceive. My cycles did become a little more regular after getting married, just as I had been told they would. But my main problem now is that after I have a child, I don't get my period back. I know that is normal for some not to get it back while you're nursing the baby, but even after I stop nursing, it never comes back. After the last two children, I have eventually taken progesterone prescribed by an M.D./Doctor to start a period/cycle and after that I have regular cycles again.
(In case you need specific info about me... I'm 26 y/o, 130lbs. 5'5' tall, have had 3 children)
So, does anyone have any suggestions? Please tell me that I'm not alone, and that other people have had this problem!!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Something that I forgot to include: I am nursing my 8 month old now....and one of my symptoms that I have concern about is that I have times when I have all the 'period' symptoms (BAD cramping, blotting, increased appetite, fatigue, moodiness, etc.), but I don't bleed. It feels as if your body is really trying to 'start your cycle', but never does.... it even goes on for days like a period would..... I have been trying to notice a timing pattern between these episodes, but there doesn't really seem to be a pattern. The last two were about 2 weeks apart. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

please take GOSSIPIUM HERBACIUM-Q some 10 drops in some quarter cup water three times a day whenever you feel that the periods are due and you have all the physical symptoms.

try it for some 1 or 2 days and you will get the periods.

I'm 32 years old, and have had irregular menses since i was 17. initially i was diagnosed with PCOS and put on birth control pills. my menses were regular whenever i was on the pill, but not when i was off it. at age 27 i conceived (though we lost the baby, born very prematurely), and diagnosis was changed from PCOS. 2 years later, i staretd getting breast tenderness and dry vagina and tests showed high prolactin. but in 2006 when i last checked prolactin had become normal. but even now, my period is irregular - 1/2 months gap, scanty bleeding for just 2/3 days. also i'm losing scalp hair, my body hair has been increasing, my face and scalp are verry very oily and i'm getting acne on my face and back. please help.

Drs. Rishimba and/or Mahfooz,
About a month ago, I started having all the period symptoms again and I took the Gossipium Herbacium as you suggested...after the first dose, the period symptoms all went away. I continued taking it 3x/day and for 2 days. I discontinued it and I did not start a period. A couple days ago, I had all the right symptoms again (VERY crampy this time), I took the Gossipium Herbacium again, and again the symptoms discontinued and no period...
now what?? does this mean anything to you??

mhtemom last decade
gossipium is not a deep acting remedy and it cannot set your hormonal imbalances right.

it just can bring your periods if they are really due and your system actually is prepared to have the flow.

if the periods are not occuring even after taking gossipium for 2 days, it means that your body is not prepared for the flow. the reasons could be,

-lack of projesteron balance

-anemic tendencies in the body, since you are lactating.

- other unknown reason related with shrinking of the uterus after delivery.

i would advise you to give your full case here, filling up the questionnaire. based on the symptom totality, a deep acting remedy could be prescribed which will address the pathogenisis or the structural or functional irregularity causing this manifestation.

Thank you for your reply....

All three of the reasons you mentioned could apply to me... progesterone seems to have been a problem (irregularity in cycles, harder to conceive.....); I have noticed anemic tendencies (craving salt, tired....I hemorraged 11 days after my last delivery because for some reason my uterus had not 'clamped' down all the way, thus bringing us to your third reason--unknown reason related to shrinking of uterus after delivery. Nut I am now 10 1/2 months after delivery....I do believe that if the flow is not 'meant' to come that it won't until the body is ready....my main complaint/concern is this awful pattern of episodes of BAD lower abdominal cramping, fatigue, irritability, moodiness, bloated feeling, etc all of which I have as I start my period. The cramping gets so intense that it feels like my body is trying to 'pop a cork' or something. I know that sounds funny but it feels like if you could just get it to break loose, you'd feel so much better. If it wasn't for this that I can't explain, I am ok that my cycles have not started :)

I will answer the questionaire:

Age: 26 Sex: Female

1. Describe your main suffering?
This periodic and painful abdominal cramping that lasts for days.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
Occasional headaches, fatigue (really needing that midday nap)
Also, my hair always falls out in spots after I have the baby....very annoying

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
Just stressed and irritable.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
(explained above)

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
I had irregular periods as an adolescent and after bearing children and after discontinuing nursing the baby, I haven't startes a cycle on my own.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?
Seems worst during day and maybe moreso after I eat--which is normal for period symptoms for me.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
no

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
n/a

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
I am a high-strung, 'I can do it all' type of person. I care alot about what people think even though I relly don't want to care and I say I don't care what others think. I know stress plays a role on periods too so I'm sure that doesn't help.

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
yes

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
I'm a mom- I have Mommy ears! I can hear everything. Also my sense of smell that was so intense when I was pregnant, hasn't really seemed to have gone away like it had in the past.

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?
not that I know of

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?

I am always wanting my kids and my husband to be better and do more for me and themselves (wow, I'm starting to feel worse about myself than I did before)

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
I fear about my kids' future and what the world is coming to.... In all my dreams, I seem to be in a race.....

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
Sweets, chocolate, and salt

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
normal

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
normal- but I hit a point in the evening where I feel like I could eat supper again at about 9pm, but I just try to avert form the kitchen :)

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?
sometimes red peppers

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?
normal....in trunk area

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?
normal, regular

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
I am actually sleeping better now than I used to. I used to have insomnia, was on zoloft for a couple years, but now am off of that and doing much better.
I usually sleep on my sides or on my back---kind of whatever.

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?
NO- I havent't had an orgasm probably since I got pregnant.

20. What peculiar or strange sensation do you have in any part of your body at times? Do you sometimes feel ‘ as if…..’ in some part of the body?
only, like I said above, that when I am having these episodes of cramping, I feel as if my uterus/abdomen is trying to pop a cork.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
I have taken zoloft for the insomnia, but I am not taking it now and sleep is still good.
I have taken progesterone in the past after stopping nursing and going many months without a cycle to start periods which was effective.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?
Chrones, Heart attack, Parkinsons

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance.
5'5' 130 lbs, fair complexion, I would say 'kinda bigger boned', broad shouldered and somewhat muscular (from my more athletic days)

24. (ONLY FOR FEMALES)

If you are not having normal menstrual cycles, please answer the following questions:

When I have them, I usually have 35 day cycles, and they stay pretty regular.

- Are the periods early, regular or late in general? How long do they last?
- Do you suffer from any kind of physical or mental discomfort before, during or after the periods?
- Is the flow scanty, normal or excessive?
- Is the blood thick bright red or pale watery?
- Do you notice any clots in the flow?

I hope this answers the questions you needed answered. I haven't had to pick my brain about myself like that for a long time. If you need anything elseor if you need something more specific, please just let me know and thanks again for taking the time to access me

as soon as the spotting stops, you can stop the remedy.

gradually, the spotting should decrease and then stop.

if you are having uterine bleeding (non-menstrual)between your periods, there is a possibility that you may not conceive.

better would be to first get cured of the uterine bleeding and then try to conceive.

your periods are regular and thus would probably start in another two to three days.

you should take hammamelis virginica during uterine bleeding.

during your next or subsequent periods, once the uterine bleeding stops, you can try conceiving from the 8th to the 18th day, start of the periods counted as day 1.
