Stuttering

My toddler was speaking fluently until 2yrs and 9 months. However, one day he started stuttering very mildly with a few words and in a time of 3 weeks, he became quite severe. He has now been stuttering for 4 months. The stutter is mainly at the beginning of the sentence, and seems to be worse if you make eye contact with him.

Please help.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Can you recall what happened during that time? What the child may have gone thru?

Sorry for the late reply. I dont know if this may be significant, but the only thing I can recall is I was trying to take him of his bottle. It was a struggle. However, I can't recall if the severity of the stutter happenend around exactly the same time . When he regressed so quickly I decided not to persevere with getting him off the bottle. This Happened around November 2007, and by december he was also frustrated that the sentences he could once say was not easy anymore. This led to tantrums, and choosing not to talk. I dont' know what to do. I would appreciate any input.

Thanks for your concern and time.

Give him 6 doses of Bell 200 over 3 days evenly spaced. If there are changes during these 3 days, stop dosing and observe.
