Sam if you're out there ( or anyone else who can spare the time)
I've taken a dose of Nat mur. Its really helped out on a lot fronts. One ailment remains: in the afternoons about an hour and a half after lunch I have an ineffectual bowel movement - where the main problem is the stool receding. This causes an immense headrush which leaves me with a throbbing headache and somewhat exhausted for a few hours thereafter. Any suggestions for this peculiar symptom? It occurs only in the afternoon. Mornings are fine. Thanks in advance. |

How is your confidence level while starting new tasks ?
Any anxieties ?
Are you generally a chilly person or a warm person ?
What weather aggravates you ?
Sameer. | | |

Sam,
Thanks, once again, for taking the time. Here are my responses to your queries:
1) Confidence levels: a little shaky when starting new tasks. Sometimes it takes a lot of effort to get going, but once started I'm pretty dogged on it.
2)Usually warm, but sometimes chilly in the mornings before breakfast etc.
3)Humid weather causes me aggravations. Primarily respiratory.
Have a good one. | | |

It has to be one of Silica or Lycopodium.
I think you can read up both, and then decide. If you need some help at some stage during deciding, let me know.

Sam,
I think Lycopodium is the better of the choices - based on the afternoon aggravation. That being said, what potency would you recommend? I'm horribly sensitive and feel accessory symptoms on almost all remedies. Would you suggest something low? Or a high dose in water? Thanks for all your help. | This thread continues beneath the following ad.

You would know better, however, don't just concentrate on the afternoon aggravation, decide which personality profile is closer to yours.
2 pellets of 6C in a 500 ml water bottle.
Just 1 spoon dose, and then wait for 48 hours and report status.

Sam,
Do any of these remedies have a symptom such as head-rush after stool? I can't seem to find it in either. This is one telling symptom of mine. Thanks again.

Both these remedies have headaches from straining at stool.
2 point remedies for headaches from pressing at stool are:
Bry,Con, Lyc, Sil, Sulph., Puls and Nux-v.
Bry in general is a very strong remedy for rushes of blood upwards, and is very well suited to people who are constitutionally Nat-m type.
You can consider Bry. , Lyc. and Sil.

Sam,
Thanks a bunch. I was thinking of Bry as well. Mainly due to the fact that I have intermittent angina pains. I believe Bryonia is useful for this as well. |
