Hello! My name is Tia and I live in Atlantic Beach, FL, my son will be 10 years old tomorrow. He did everything "on time" and was actually a little early by a month or so (teething, walking, sitting up, talking) was a great student though second grade but last year (3rd grade) we started noticing a stand still in his learning especially with reading comprehension. His teachers tell me constantly that he is not focused sometimes he seems like he's off in another world. I ask him what he's thinking about and he can never tell me. He always tells me that he's thinking of nothing or he can't remember what he was thinking about. There are days when he can answer comprehension questions and get them all correct but for the most part he isn't getting them correct. He's not applying the strategies he learned in class. He's a wonderful child and I have no behavior problems with him. He was defiant with only one of his teachers at the beginning of the year but he stopped and has NEVER had defiant behavior with me at home. Occasionally he did with his father but he stopped that too.
He will eat anything I tell him he needs to. We've elminated all of the artificial colors, flavors, TBHQ, BHT, high fructose corn syrup, and other things from his diet. We are following Feingold at the moment and I would like to use something homeopathic to help him. He is getting really frustrated because at this point he is so far behing. He is reading on a middle 3rd grade reading level when he should be on teh end of 4th grade. He met his 25 reading book challenge WAY before most of the other kids in his class and his teacher is surprised that his reading level didn't go up but it went down instead!!
One common thing that his teacher have said is that if he gets in trouble he seems to look through you not at you and they don't think he's listening. But he really is. If you ask him what you've said he will tell you but he seems to look through you. I've seen what they've described and I know that he is listening because I've wondered that myself when he has "that look". He is very disorganized and can never find the book he was reading or his notebook. But he always turns in his homework because we have an established routine for putting his work in place. |

Hello Tia,
There are indications for Helleborus Niger here.
Give him 3 doses of Helleborus Niger 30C on a single day at 2 hour gap. No more after this, and just wait for 1 week.
1 dose = 1 spoon from a 250 ml spring water bottle where 2 pellets of Helleborus 30C have been dissolved.
If you leave the pellets in the bottle for 20 mins, they wpould dissolve, and then you can turn the bottle upside down a few times gently.
No eating/drinking/brushing teeth for 45 mins on either side of each dose.

No.
Just give 3 doses and report back the status after one week of observation, and we can decide further doses then.
Every case is different when it comes to repetition and hence there are no fixed regimens. | | |
