knee poppingout of socket

The bottom of my knee tends to pop out of its socket from time to time - it is extremely painful for a few seconds until it pops back in again - I'm 54 years old - does anyone have a remedy for this - I have tried 1000 mg of msm and 1500 mg of glucosamine/chondroitin and 200 mg of SAMe but these have not helped. Got any ideas?
