The ABC Homeopathy Forum

cyst

I followed a thread for treating a sebaceous cyst in which Pankaj Varma posted around 1/14/2007. It was suggested to take
Myristica Sebefera to open the cyst, Silicea 6c or 30c to assist draining and Silicea 200c to assist in closing from inside out. If infection sets in, it was suggested Calcarea Sulph 6x be taken and if that doesn't work - try Hepar Sulphuris Calcareum.

If a person has experienced a life-threatening allergic reaction to the sulpha drug prescribed by dermatologists - will taking the Calcarea Sulph or the Hepar Sulphuris Calcareum bring on similar life-threatening reactions?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The answer is no.

The 'sulpha drugs' of allopathy are much different (in chemical composition)from the element 'Sulphur' of the chemical table.

Thank you for your response re: sulpha. In doing some research, I understand homeopathy is very powerful and can sometimes bring on a healing crisis if not treated as a whole.

I would like to give a bit more history to get your opinion as to whether or not I should proceed with the homeopathic remedies protocol I posted earlier in draining the cyst without surgery.

As a teenager, a dermatologist removed two cysts - one from neck right on collar bone and another on side of wrist. The site on neck has never really healed and continously fills with a small amount of white pus and then drains. The one on wrist turns into a nodule like blackhead.

In addition to the cyst that has now become quite large on left side of back at waistline, I also experience:
Digestive problems (belching),

Sometimes feelings of fullness well much later after eating,

Problems with facial breakouts - white heads (small cysts),

Fibrocystic breast disease,

Sore and tight muscles, stiffness in joints.

Neck and back pain,

Sore feet when walking,

Problems with hormones in which menstrual periods continued non-stop until having surgery several years ago.

Tendency to chill easily; however often at night get hot and wake up to racing heart due to dreaming and thoughts begin to stampede through. (A saliva test indicated testerone was high five years ago.)

Saliva test also indicated insulin resistance.

Right now I seem to be experiencing sinus drainage causing slight irritation in throat causing cough and urge to clear throat often(which could be due to change of season).

Last year, during winter months, skin became very dry and develop raised, rough itchy patches on legs and palm of hand. Interfered with sleeping due to scratching so much drawing blood. Sunlight helps during warmer seasons.

I have been under more stress than usual for the past five years.

History of homeopathic treatment:

Staphysagria (for anger)
Rumex Crispus (severe cold/flu)
Gelsemium Sempervirens (acute anxiety)

Please let me know if there are more suitable remedies other than what I posted earlier for draining this cyst without surgery while considering all of the other issues. Thank you very much.

Myristica is known as 'doctor's knife' in homeopathy..

Pankaj Varma: I have now taken 7th dose of Myristica 200 for cyst (taken every 5 days). Nothing appears to be happening. Should I continue or could I be treating it as wrong thing? If I gently apply pressure downard, skin stretches and what looks like could be the 'head' appears, but will take awhile. Perhaps it is a fatty tumor. My question is how much longer should I take this remedy? Or should I try something else?

Thank you. Livewell

I have just taken thirteenth dose of Myristica. There is drainage; however have to apply pressure on surrounding area to get anything to come out. No blood yet and is much smaller. I am wondering when to switch to the Silicea 30C. My question concerns time to begin with Silicea 30C.

Thank you

Could you please upload a picture of the cyst ...as it looks at present.

Will do my best to guide you further.

Maybe a different med has to be given.

Pl. note that sabaceous cysts and pilonidal cysts are two different kinds of cysts.

That is why, I would like to see a photo.
